Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to support industrial production operations by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant electrical and mechanical systems. This role requires strong diagnostic capability and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role supports the automated assembly operations for the F-35 program onsite at a leading aerospace manufacturing facility in Palmdale, CA.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot all plant electrical systems including sources, feeders, and branch circuits 
Safely isolate systems and perform repairs without negatively impacting production 
Diagnose, repair, and design motor control circuits and plant control systems 
Work with three-phase power systems ranging from 110V to 480V 
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and manufacturer manuals 
Perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment 
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems 
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and materials used 
Order and requisition parts as needed 
Support and assist mechanics with troubleshooting and repairs 
Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and man lifts 
Ensure a safe, organized, and productive work environment 


Duties

Repair and maintain industrial production and processing equipment 
Diagnose equipment malfunctions using testing devices such as voltmeters 
Analyze machine errors and operator feedback to identify issues 
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance 
Reassemble equipment following repairs or inspections 
Demonstrate proper equipment operation to machine operators 


Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent 
Minimum 3+ years of maintenance electrician experience in an industrial setting 
Electrical Journeyman certification required 
Must be able to pass an electrical journeyman test 
Strong understanding of electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics 
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics 
Must possess basic hand tools 
Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs (assistance encouraged for heavier loads)

Key Responsibilities

Independently set up and program CNC milling machines for custom and short-run parts
Perform complex and unique machine setups
Program, edit, and optimize CNC programs and tool paths (Mastercam preferred)
Set up and operate machines for cutting, drilling, and grinding various materials
Control machine speed, feed rates, and path of cut to ensure precision and efficiency
Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
Plan machining operations by reviewing work orders, materials, dimensions, reference planes, and tolerances

Documents all the die/tooling suggestions and reports them to the Tool Room Manager to adjust in design.
Brings the tool to the stage of tryout and, along with the tryout leader, commence the in- die press tryout process.
Effectively communicates with all company personnel to function as a team player.
Completes anything that is required to support positive trending on the scorecard.
Follows all company Health & Safety procedures.

Perform any other duties, as required.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

Tool and Die Certification

Start up and shuts down equipment in accordance with operations requirements, company safety procedures and OSHA requirements for machine activation and shutdown.
Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of mechanical theory and principles, written specifications, properties of various materials.
Performs scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and turns in accurate paperwork for the work performed.
Troubleshoot and repairs mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Plans details of working procedures to determine material or replacement needs and determines a logical approach to repair problems.

Documents and records maintenance information in SAP.


Minimum Qualifications:


Journeyman Certification or equivalent education & experience
DOD Clearance or ability to obtain DOD Clearance
5+ years of experience within the field of general maintenance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic computer skills.
Able to work all shifts and overtime as needed
Able to lift repetitively up to 30 lbs.
Able to stand for extended periods of time, bend, twist, turn and grasp.
