The Part-time Member Experience Generalist is responsible for achieving girl and adult membership goals through recruitment and retention strategies as assigned. This role is responsible for engaging and cultivating community support for all Girl Scout programs to achieve strategic goals and objectives and are a primary support to the volunteers. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, flexible scheduling and reliable transportation.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned.

Implement effective recruitment strategies to meet Community goals for new girl and adult qualified leads, troop placement and membership.
Recruit volunteers to support troop, community, and regional programming, if applicable.
Ensure high quality marketing and communication of activities and programs through Council resources and external community resources as appropriate.  Share compelling stories about the Girl Scouting impact.
Support volunteers in implementing recruitment and community development strategies.
Cultivate and nurture relationships with appropriate community volunteers, and council-wide volunteers to support recruitment efforts within targeted areas. 
Ensure new Troop Leader success through visits, resources, needs assessments, and expertise in Girl Scout programming.
Deliver ongoing, varied, and rolespecific learning opportunities that prepare volunteers for success. 
Maintain a strong administrative volunteer structure with properly vetted, trained volunteers and oversee all aspects of volunteer onboarding, including vetting, training, field support, and tracking.
Ensure volunteer administrative teams develop and execute volunteer role planning and development, onboarding of Troop Leaders, annual plan of work, and retention strategies.
Support and attend key volunteer meetings in the community and region throughout the year.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university, or applicable experience.
Professional working proficiency in Spanish (spoken and written) required to serve Spanishspeaking volunteers/members. Able to read and interpret business and technical materials; write reports and procedures; and present information effectively to diverse groups. 
Proficient with mathematics most commonly used in practical business situations.
Able to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and solve problems involving multiple concrete variables.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, SalesForce, Looker, team/knowledge sharing tools, etc.
Valid Texas driver&rsquo;s license and proof of insurance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.  

Deliver outstanding customer service to volunteers and customers through all interactions by greeting customers, responding to questions, engaging in interactions that promote store merchandise and suit the customer&rsquo;s needs.
Processes cash receipts and returns at the assigned retail location in accordance with documented procedures.
Maintains inventory in amounts responsive to needs of volunteers and staff in consultation with the Retail Director.
Proactively reviews all retail Memos and correspondence directed to Retail Sales Staff in order to stay abreast of changes and initiatives.
Perform cycle counts as needed.
Prepares orders, receives inventory and monitors return of defective or overstocked items.
Handles mail order requests insuring prompt delivery.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation to record book transfers.
Assists in training new shop personnel.

Qualifications: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Achieve the specific cross-functional goals for assigned communities and regions. Primary accountabilities will be measured in attainment of girl and adult qualified leads and membership.
Recruitment of volunteers to support troop, community, region and council wide programming.
Develop and execute a written community engagement and recruitment plan. Monitor membership and qualified leads, identify trends, and adjust strategies where needed that may impact future cultivation of community and region.
Study and become proficient in girl and adult related trends, multi-cultural data and demographics, marketing and sales techniques, effective communication and knowledge of communities and organizations in order to effectively implement a strategic membership recruitment plan.
Responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance and communication of recruitment events, such as the rally site, social media advertisement, school websites, etc.
Support volunteers in planning and implementing recruitment and community development strategies.
Cultivate and nurture relationships with appropriate community volunteers, region volunteers, and council-wide volunteers to support recruitment efforts within targeted areas to positively impact membership growth.
Responsible for community engagement and development in assigned geographic areas including networking, advisory boards, partnership agreements, facilities utilization, school districts, faith based institutions, leveraging national partnerships to secure venue agreements to support meetings and programs, etc.
Collaborate with Marketing Department to ensure Council Wide Marketing Strategies are in alignment and meet strategic objectives across multiple platforms. 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to three years equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training.
Ability to work from home, as needed, to include high speed home internet access, accessibility to a non-distracting and uninterrupted space with adequate lighting and ergonomically adequate workspace.

The Part-Time Property Manager under general supervision, responsible for the overall appearance and ongoing management of the Council&rsquo;s camp property. Serve as an on-site, first-person resource to volunteers utilizing site and maintain assigned campsite to meet American Camp Association (ACA) and federal, state and local standards. The Property Manager is a residential position. This position requires flexibility to work holidays, extended days and/or weekends as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned.

Implement preventative maintenance procedures as directed by the Senior Property Manager. 
Perform and/or assist in the performance of routine maintenance to facilities, grounds and equipment within the scope of one&rsquo;s training and experience and in accordance with council standards and maintenance plans.
Execute mechanical, electrical, plumbing and a variety of construction and maintenance projects within budget and established timeframes.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities and notify Facility Manager of necessary repairs to Council assets in a timely manner.
Prepare site for users, facilitate check-in and check-out procedures, and provide assistance to site users by responding to maintenance requests as appropriate.
Explain procedures with regard to respective camp.
Maintain good housekeeping practices surrounding the Property Manager&rsquo;s residence and throughout the camp property.
Maintain current records of property, facility and equipment maintenance and usage.
Provides security presence for the property to ensure safety of individuals on-site and protect the council&rsquo;s property.

Qualifications:

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with general maintenance, electrical work, carpentry and plumbing. Familiar with a variety of ground equipment (ex. backhoe, tractor, mower, box blade, etc.). Working knowledge of bench tools (ex. drill press, saw, router, etc.), hand tools (power and manual) and various facility maintenance tools and equipment required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, and other Council systems as well as printing and retrieving reports. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word preferred. Experience navigating Intranet and Internet is also required.
Valid Texas driver&rsquo;s license and proof of insurance. First Aid/AED/CPR certification and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) license or previous MEP experience required.

Under limited supervision, responsible for planning and orchestrating the day to day life of the herd, animals, maintenance of all riding equipment and management of the pastures at Camp Misty Meadows. The Barn Manager is a residential position that is expected to be &ldquo;on-call&rdquo; for emergency tasks during off-hours. This position requires flexibility to work overtime, extended days and/or weekends as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned.

Management/development of part-time barn staff/feeding assistants.
Maintain all herd-related equipment, supplies and feed inventory.
Ensure that each horse has been appropriately fitted for all necessary tack/equipment, tack/equipment is identified for each horse, and make minor repairs to tack/equipment as required.
Communicate and work with the necessary equine medical personnel regarding horse injuries, deaths or diseases. Schedule visits and contact veterinarian for major injuries/illness and farrier as needed. Maintain all medical records mandated by federal, state & county government regulations on each animal.
Dispense and apply prescribed medications and treatments.
Work in partnership with the Equitation Program Manager to establish working schedules to be carried out by veterinary staff, farriers and other horse care professionals.
Work with the County Extension Agent and Director, Facilities and Services to develop and implement an optimal pasture maintenance program in order to ensure quality hay production and good year-round grazing.
Submit hay, soil and fecal samples on a regularly scheduled basis for analysis and evaluation.
Maintain in good working condition the barn, paddocks, trailers, panels and other physical assets related to equitation. Maintain all fences and gates in good working order.
Maintain safe and sanitary condition of stalls, pens, tack rooms, arenas, pastures, trails and fences making repairs as necessary. Report, in writing, those major repairs that will require planning and budgeting to the Director, Facilities and Services.
Work with Overnight Camp staff during the summer months to ensure a healthy herd and a safe riding environment.
Meet routinely with the Director, Facilities and Services and/or his designee to report on all herd management activities. Keep supervisor abreast of all unusual or emergency situations. Maintain current records for maintenance and upkeep of all equitation facilities, equipment, tack and pastures.

Qualifications: 

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years veterinary science or animal husbandry experience required. 
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

An Outreach Associate is someone who is seeking a part-time position to develop a career in community outreach with a transformational nonprofit. This Outreach Associate will conduct interactive programs for middle and high school aged girls in the Central, Southwest, and Pasadena areas. The program addresses a variety of contemporary issues facing teen and pre-teen girls such as peer pressure, self-esteem, health and fitness, harassment, dating violence, conflict resolution, bullying, diversity, healthy relationships, financial literacy, etc.

Qualifications:

Dependable, enthusiastic, organized and energetic
Have strong public speaking skills. Confident presenting to sometimes large groups of school girls
Prefer candidates who reside in Central, Southwest or Southeast Houston areas
Ability to engage and relate to girls of various ethnicities, demographics, and age
Must have reliable transportation, a valid Texas driver&rsquo;s license and proof of insurance
Weekly pick up and transport of program supplies to and from the Girl Scouts Center, as needed
Must be available to work 1-4 days per week and have reliable transportation for scheduled workdays in order to drive between schools (if needed).
Must be available for varied hours- between 7:00AM to 4:30PM (hours vary by school)
Able to lift and transport supplies between 20 -50 pounds as needed
Prior experience working/volunteering with youth preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish). This is highly desirable but not required.
A high school graduate minimum is required, some college or degree preferred.

Under general supervision, the Property Manager is responsible for the overall appearance and ongoing management of the Council&rsquo;s camp property. Serve as an on-site, first-person resource to volunteers utilizing site and maintain assigned campsite to meet American Camp Association (ACA) and federal, state and local standards. The Property Manager is a residential position that is expected to be &ldquo;on-call&rdquo; for emergency tasks during off-hours. This position requires flexibility to work holidays, extended days and/or weekends as needed.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned.

Implement preventative maintenance procedures as directed by the Senior Property Manager.
Perform and/or assist in the performance of routine maintenance to facilities, grounds and equipment within the scope of one&rsquo;s training and experience and in accordance with council standards and maintenance plans.
Execute mechanical, electrical, plumbing and a variety of construction and maintenance projects within budget and established timeframes.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities and notify Facility Manager of necessary repairs to Council assets in a timely manner.
Prepare site for users, facilitate check-in and check-out procedures, and provide assistance to site users by responding to maintenance requests as appropriate.
Explain procedures with regard to respective camp.
Maintain good housekeeping practices surrounding the Property Manager&rsquo;s residence and throughout the camp property.
Maintain current records of property, facility and equipment maintenance and usage.
Provides security presence for the property to ensure safety of individuals on-site and protect the council&rsquo;s property.

Qualifications:

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with general maintenance, electrical work, carpentry and plumbing. Familiar with a variety of ground equipment (ex. backhoe, tractor, mower, box blade, etc.). Working knowledge of bench tools (ex. drill press, saw, router, etc.), hand tools (power and manual) and various facility maintenance tools and equipment required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, basic knowledge of Lodgepole and other Council systems as well as printing and retrieving reports. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word preferred. Experience navigating Intranet and Internet is also required.
Valid Texas driver&rsquo;s license and proof of insurance. Candidates with First Aid/AED/CPR certification or a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification are strongly preferred, but these are not required. A Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) license or previous MEP experience is a bonus and preferred, though not mandatory for consideration.

Assists Camp Director in ensuring all reports on camp operations/activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner and make recommendations for next season. Complete End-of-Summer reports as requested by supervisor.
Promotes high morale for staff and campers.
Serve as a role model and guide for campers by using appropriate behavior, language and attitude. Treats all campers and staff with respect and helps to build positive relationships that value and appreciate individual differences.
Assist counselor staff when not performing program related duties.
Attends all camper gathering times, actively participating in activities.
Assumes duties and responsibilities of the camp director in the event of camp director&rsquo;s absence.

This position requires the ability to analyze market data, make sales calls, recruit girls and adults into the program and support cross-functional strategic goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned.

Responsible for achieving community engagement and development goals in assigned geographic areas in order to recruit girl and adult members as well as cultivate support for Girl Scouting to achieve the Council&rsquo;s strategic goals and objectives. Achieve the specific cross-functional goals for assigned communities and regions. Primary accountabilities will be measured in attainment of girl and adult qualified leads and membership.
Recruitment of volunteers to support troop, community, region and council wide programming.
Develop and execute a written community engagement and recruitment plan. Monitor membership and qualified leads, identify trends, and adjust strategies where needed that may impact future cultivation of community and region.
Study and become proficient in girl and adult related trends, multi-cultural data and demographics, marketing and sales techniques, effective communication and knowledge of communities and organizations in order to effectively implement a strategic membership recruitment plan.
Responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance and communication of recruitment events, such as the rally site, social media advertisement, school websites, etc.
Support volunteers in planning and implementing recruitment and community development strategies.
Cultivate and nurture relationships with appropriate community volunteers, region volunteers, and council-wide volunteers to support recruitment efforts within targeted areas to positively impact membership growth.
Responsible for community engagement and development in assigned geographic areas including networking, advisory boards, partnership agreements, facilities utilization, school districts, faith based institutions, leveraging national partnerships to secure venue agreements to support meetings and programs, etc.
Collaborate with Marketing Department to ensure Council Wide Marketing Strategies are in alignment and meet strategic objectives across multiple platforms. 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to three years equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training.
Ability to work from home, as needed, to include high speed home internet access, accessibility to a non-distracting and uninterrupted space with adequate lighting and ergonomically adequate workspace.

The Assistant Camp Director is responsible for assisting the Camp Director and Program Director in the overall implementation of the GSSJC summer camp program. The Assistant Camp Director supervises all counselor staff and the general operation of the camps.

Session Program Director (FILLED)
The Session Program Director is responsible for daily schedules and programs for camp sessions taking place at overnight camp and overall implementation of the GSSJC summer camp program. The Session Program Director supervises the Program Specialists and program areas in conjunction with the All Camps Program Director.

All Camps Program Director (FILLED)
The All Camps Program Director is responsible for planning and implementation of All Camp activities and programs as designated by the Camp Director and overall implementation of the GSSJC summer camp program. The All Camps Program Director supervises the Program Specialists and program areas in conjunction with the Session Program Director. 

Aquatics Director (FILLED)
The Aquatics Director is responsible for pool and waterfront programming and safety in accordance with ACA, GSSJC, and GSUSA standards. The Aquatics Director trains and supervises all lifeguards and waterfront lifeguard staff.

Sailing Director
The Sailing Director facilitates all sailing activities that provide progressive learning experiences for the campers in accordance with ACA, GSSJC, and GSUSA standards. The Sailing Director trains and supervises all sailing staff and counselors.

Engagement Manager (FILLED)
The Engagement Director is responsible for assisting the Camp Director in the business operation of the camp such as parent engagement and communication and staff communication and engagement to ensure staff, parents, and campers are enjoying their camp experience. The Engagement Director does not have direct reports but assists the Assistant Camp Directors in supervising counselor staff. 

Assistant Equestrian Director (FILLED)
The Assistant Equestrian Director is responsible for assisting the Equestrian Program Manager in the overall implementation of the seasonal horseback riding programs. The Assistant Equestrian Director works as a horseback riding instructor, and helps mentor Equestrian Staff and Equestrian Counselors.

Health Supervisor
The Health Supervisor is a licensed practitioner and is responsible for supervising the general health of campers and staff ensuring compliance with applicable health and safety standards and policies. The Health Supervisor supervises the camp Health Specialists and MESH Specialist.

Assistant Counselor
Assistant Counselors are applicants who have graduated the GSSJC CIT/WIT program but are under the age of 18.  Assistant Counselors are responsible for assisting in the managing of their assigned campers, their campers&rsquo; weekly schedule of activities, and facilitation of their campers&rsquo; activities. Assistant Counselors spend all daily programing time with their assigned group of campers facilitating camp activities. Counselors report to the Assistant Camp Directors. Due to the nature of overnight camp arrangements, the requirement is this role is filled by a female staff who also identifies as female. (Can be 16 years of age or older.)

Lifeguard
Lifeguards facilitate day-to-day pool operations and/or waterfront operations and spend all daily programing time lifeguarding at their assigned pool or the waterfront. Lifeguards report to the Aquatics Director. (Can be 16 years of age or older.)

Sailing Counselor
Sailing Counselors facilitate sailing activities at Casa Mare. Equestrian Counselor
Equestrian Counselors are counselors for our horseback riding sessions and lead equestrian programs at the barn and general camp activities for their campers with their co-counselor. Equestrian Counselors spend half of the daily programing time in the barn facilitating equestrian programs for campers and the other half of the programing time facilitating general camp activities for their campers. Equestrian Counselors report to the Equestrian Program Manager and Assistant Camp Director. Due to the nature of overnight camp arrangements, the requirement is this role is filled by a female staff who also identifies as female.

Equestrian Staff
Equestrian Staff lead equestrian programs such as Western and English riding lessons, vaulting lessons, and ground school lessons throughout the week. Equestrian staff spend all program time in the barn facilitating equestrian programs for campers and report to the Equestrian Program Manager. (Can be 16 years of age or older.)

Media Staff
Media Specialist are responsible for capturing photos and videos of campers and staff and uploading photos and videos to the GSSJC photo share site daily as well as working with the Marketing Director to create engaging marketing material. Applicants should have experience using a DSLR camera and knowledge of social media trends for marketing purposes. The Media Specialists will be responsible for creating their own daily schedule and managing their time to photograph all activities taking place at camp daily. Media Specialists report to the GSSJC Marketing Director and Camp Director.

The Volunteer Experience Managers primary accountability is to achieve girl and adult membership goals by implementing appropriate retention strategies.  They are the primary support to the volunteers in their assigned communities and regions. Achieve girl and adult membership goals by implementing appropriate retention strategies.


Analyze membership trends and other available information in order to plan, develop, promote, and implement a comprehensive strategy to develop and retain adult members/volunteers and girl members in assigned area for troop, community, region, and council-wide programming.


Accountable for new troop leader success which may include visits to support new troops, provide resources and capture their needs, and provide expertise in all GSLE programming such as the Volunteer Toolkit.


Support the development and implementation of a robust adult volunteer mentoring program throughout assigned geographic areas.


Ensure the delivery of role-specific learning opportunities and resources that are delivered in multiple ways that are continuous, fun, and adaptable to different volunteer styles and are effective at preparing volunteers for their roles.


Develop and execute a written plan for assigned areas for achieving council goals and objectives related to program participation, girl retention, and the product sale. 


Monitor participation, identify trends, and adjust strategies where needed that may impact future programs.


Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community; Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

Leadership Specialist (FILLED)
The Leadership Specialist facilitates the CIT/WIT (Counselor/Wrangler in Training) and other leadership sessions as designed by GSUSA and GSSJC. The Leadership Specialist spends all daily programing time with their assigned group of campers facilitating the GSSJC Leadership Program. The Leadership Specialist acts as a role model and mentor for all staff reports to the Assistant Camp Directors and must have worked at a GSSJC overnight camp before. Due to the nature of overnight camp arrangements, the requirement is this role is filled by a female staff who also identifies as female.

Program Specialist (FILLED)
Program Specialists facilitate a variety of activities depending on the individual&rsquo;s skills such as archery, riflery, challenge course, canoeing and kayaking, lifeguarding and other camp activities. Staff are only required to be certified in two to three activities. All certifications are provided by GSSJC. Program Specialists act as experts in their certified activities and provide coaching and guidance to other staff regarding those areas of expertise. Program Specialists report to the Program Directors. 

Head Lifeguard
Head Lifeguards manage and facilitate day-to-day pool operations and/or waterfront operations and are mentors to lifeguard staff. Head Lifeguards spend all daily programing time lifeguarding at their assigned pool or the waterfront. Head Lifeguards report to the Aquatics Director. 

General Information:
GSSJC provides applicable trainings and certifications for hired staff. 
All staff are considered role models to all campers at GSSJC overnight camps and are expected to participate in camp activities such as evening all-camp activities, meals in the lodge, evening camper supervision, and camp check in and check out.
 
Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older
Enjoy working with youth
Valid Driver&rsquo;s License - if driving is a required duty at camp (for the position offered)
Ability to reside at the camp property for the duration of the camp season and occasionally live in non-airconditioned spaces (All meals and housing arrangements are covered by GSSJC for Overnight Camp positions)
This position performs its duties indoors and in outdoor weather conditions. This position is exposed to outdoor weather conditions, requiring a tolerance to work in hot summer conditions.  Not all sleeping arrangements may be climate controlled.

Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council Misty Meadows Ranch runs a yearly summer overnight camp with a six level progressive riding program and two level progressive vaulting program. Staff will live and work onsite Sunday noon through Friday 6:30pm and one (1) weekend Friday 6:30pm through Saturday 5:30pm.


Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Misty Meadows Ranch has a full time Equestrian Program Manager who manages the summer camp equestrian program and staff, a full time professional horse trainer, and a full time on site Barn Manager who manages the overall Equestrian Center and the herd of 40 horses owned by GSSJC,. Misty Meadows Ranch primarily provides Western riding program and some English riding programs and a vaulting program. (Vaulting experience is not required for any position.)

SUMMER OVERNIGHT CAMP EQUESTRIAN STAFF POSITIONS

Assistant Equestrian Director
The Assistant Equestrian Director is responsible for assisting the Equestrian Program Manager in the overall implementation of the seasonal horseback riding programs. The Assistant Equestrian Director works as a horseback riding instructor and helps mentor Equestrian Staff and Equestrian Counselors.

Equestrian Counselor
Equestrian Counselors are counselors for our horseback riding sessions and lead equestrian programs at the barn and general camp activities for their campers with their co-counselor. Equestrian Counselors spend half of the daily program time in the barn facilitating equestrian programs for campers and the other half of the program time facilitating general camp activities for their campers. Equestrian Counselors report to the Equestrian Program Manager and Assistant Camp Director. Due to the nature of overnight camp arrangements, the requirement is this role is filled by a female staff who also identifies as female.

Equestrian Staff
Equestrian Staff lead equestrian programs such as Western and English riding lessons, Vaulting lessons, and ground school lessons throughout the week. Equestrian staff spend all program time in the barn facilitating equestrian programs for campers and report to the Equestrian Program Manager. (Can be 16 years of age or older.)

General Information:

Under general supervision, the Part-Time General Utility Assistant position serves as an assistant to the Property Manager/Senior Property Manager to help maintain Council-owned facilities within the framework of Council policies, ACA standards, goals, objectives, and approved budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned.

Responsible for maintaining the property grounds (i.e. mowing, weed eating, and trimming including high use areas). 
Performs light electrical, plumbing and carpentry as assigned.
Assists with pool cleaning as assigned.
Performs routine equipment repairs (i.e. tractors, mowers, trimmers, and other maintenance equipment). 
Performs light facility repairs and maintains expected level of communication with Sr. Property Manager on pending and necessary facility repairs.
Assists with cutting timber on Council properties.
Assists with tent and fly replacement on Council properties. 

Qualifications:

High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience with general maintenance, electrical work, carpentry and plumbing. Familiar with a variety of ground equipment (ex. backhoe, tractor, mower, box blade, etc). Working knowledge of bench tools (ex. drill press, saw, router, etc), hand tools (power and manual) and various facility maintenance tools and equipment required.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.  
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Microsoft Office Outlook (or similar email software)
Valid Texas Driver&rsquo;s License required.
