Responsibilities include:


Acts as a single point of contact and holds responsibility for all aspects of interiors projects, from inception to final close-out and invoicing.
Plans, coordinates and oversees all tasks, critical dates, client and third party interface and relations, as well as performance quality and customer satisfaction
Manages General Contractor relationships, attend construction meetings, responsible for maintaining a schedule of values and payment applications
Coordinates and works with General Contractors (GC) to maintain project schedule  Performs site visits and participates in site measurements for shop drawings by others
Manages sub-contractors (installers) to ensure that all installations are completed by a DIRTT certified installer, and per DIRTT quality control standards
Generates requests and responses for labor estimates
Manages and tracks change orders relative to the project scope
Resolves problems and issues manufacturer deficiencies as quickly as possible, resolving all punch list issues
Monitors progress of an entire project from start to finish
Reads/Reviews government and GC contracts for project scope and service requirements.
Develops bid and GC contract responses; generates detailed work plans
Promptly communicates progress to clients and the Intellistruct Team
Responds promptly to client inquiries
Participates in meetings and activities
Performs as a team-player, demonstrating a willingness to be a hands-on problem solver


 

Qualifications:


5+ years of Construction experience is required
3+ years Interior Modular Construction or Architectural Products Project Management experience preferred
Strong product and technical experience
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage several projects at one time
High sense of urgency  Leadership qualities, including a calm rational approach to project coordination and problem-solving, able to execute tasks efficiently and calmly
Enthusiasm for learning and making customers happy
Good computer skills including MS Office and MS Project
Competent skills with AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred

Specific Responsibilities:

Teamwork and General Responsibilities

Early project Phases (design & sales)


Work with our partners at DIRTT to develop and execute a market strategy. Identify targets with distinct needs of manufactured interior construction and establish relationships
Educate the marketplace about service offerings of AWC Construction Services and DIRTT. Educate decision-makers from various stakeholders on the possibilities and advantages of building with DIRTT
Organize and execute client presentations, sales visits/calls, and similar events to promote AWC Construction Services and DIRTT
With keen knowledge of AWC Construction Services abilities and offerings, help clients to develop project scope and timelines
Collaborate with the construction designers throughout the design process by accurately relaying project scope and applications, frequent check-ins, and adequate expectation setting with the client

Position demands this person is reliable, hardworking, and an experienced Finish Carpenter. Lerdahl is a non-union labor force looking for someone to join our team to complete the finishing touches on trim and carpentry work for prefabricated construction projects using DIRTT. This role is integral to keeping our clients happy. As the last step in the design and construction process and materials assembly this detailed oriented and skilled craftsperson sets up, plans, coordinates and supervises multiple installation projects. Oversees and leads the crewmates, and any subcontractors or outside vendors. Is responsible for quality of work, meeting cost parameters, finishing on time and complete customer satisfaction for construction work performed.

Customer/Organizational Interface


Provides installation and technical consultation to customer and customer&rsquo;s team
Qualify scope of work, defines installation requirements based on customer&rsquo;s request
Interfaces with design, project managers and client service representatives throughout installation; communicates project status, cost, schedule adherence, changes of scope, problems and punch list items, and customer&rsquo;s satisfaction


Installation Coordination & Supervision


Monitors order and shipping status with project manager and client services rep
Complies product pull lists, pulls product as required
Coordinates with general contractor, building manager, plumbing contractor, HVAC contractor, electrical contractor, data contractor, etc
Coordinate with Project Manager, installation logistics such as where installers can unload vehicles, staging areas, installation priorities, methods, and hours of access,
Performs and guides others on special applications (i.e. wall mounting, leveling, structural connections, custom cuts and other field modifications)
Planning and management of product, materials, and tools.
Ensures that field paperwork is complete, accurate and processed in a timely manner
Notify project manager of any changes in scope, and provide all required documentation


Installation Planning


Visits site, performs field measurements, as required
Inventories existing product, tools and materials, as needed
Secures installation plans and documentation; reviews them for completeness, accuracy and definitive scope of work information
Develops installation work plan, schedule and logistics based on overall project parameters, project schedule and scope, and customer&rsquo;s goals
Keep current on construction and DIRTT technical information
Ensure proper layout for DIRTT walls is completed prior to installation of walls. Installs, provides direction and delegate to the installers
Ensure the job site is left clean and organized
Successfully install, move, reconfigure, repair, clean, and troubleshoot


Punch List/Installation Close-Out


Develops punch list, ensures that product is ordered and follows-up on timely punch list resolution
Monitors actual to estimated hours; reports final numbers to project manager


Technical Skills


Thorough understanding and successful implementation of installation: labor management, product assembly, material handling, staging and sequencing of product, field paperwork, etc.
Knowledge and skills to perform carpentry and work with MEP trades
Knowledge of third-party practice as relates to installation implementation: interior construction, interior design, building management, shipping and trucking, electrical/cabling subcontracting, building codes (as relate to furniture), etc.
Ability to read construction documents and specifications
Ability to complete CCS job site safety program


Preferences:


3-5 years industry experience as a Finish Carpenter
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management software a plus
Must be able to travel within the territory and/or region territory as needed
