POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the program manager, assist in evaluating and developing an appropriate treatment method for consumers ages birth to five years.
Essential Duties:

Use standard developmental assessments and direct observation to determine the child&rsquo;s readiness for the Infant Development Program.  Prepare child&rsquo;s program goals using assessment results, testing tools and materials, and input from staff and parents.  Administer other evaluations which may include: feeding, neurological, and reflex. 
Be responsible for individual case load at separate satellite programs of the Infant Development Program.  Act as a consulting OTR in some satellites when necessary.  Keep records on each child including medical records, daily notes, and goals. 
Develop a curriculum based on individual plan and goals that includes instructional grouping patterns and reinforcement techniques.  Make or otherwise secure instructional materials based on client&rsquo;s goals and objectives.  Modify curriculum and materials as needed to achieve client&rsquo;s success.  Prepare weekly lesson and activity plans that employ a balance between established routines and novel activities.  Understand components of classroom climate and create and maintain an environment that is attractive, safe, and conducive to learning. Carry out curriculum within the structure of daily group sessions. 
Function as a member of the trans-disciplinary team.  With other team members and parents, develop referral sources for children after three years of age.  This may include visits to other programs and schools to assess appropriateness of curriculum for child&rsquo;s developmental level.  Assist child and family during the transition period.  Evaluate children who have left the program as part of follow-up study if and when required.
Create or follow existing treatment plan for the child&rsquo;s individual goals in all facets of development including: Gross Motor, Personal-Social, Fine Motor &ndash; Adaptive, Feeding Techniques, Language, Self-help skills, Behavior, and Socialization. Identify special needs of the child and request consultation regarding diet and nutrition or medical problems.
Organize and implement a home visit program for children unable to attend group setting and a continuing program of parent education, dealing with special topics of parental concern as they arise, by site.
 Plan individual programs, conduct case management, and evaluate progress.  Employ trans-disciplinary approach to programming, conferring with team members and specialists.  Conduct assessments, determine goals and objectives, and track due dates for same.  Maintain a telephone log of all client-related calls in each client&rsquo;s file. 
Regularly update staff and parents regarding techniques used with their child to assist with development and manage challenges.  Collaborate with staff to plan parental approaches and courses of action to deal with specific parent/child difficulties.

Other Duties

Comply with ECF&rsquo;s Injury and Illness Prevention Program.  Ensure safe use and operation of tools and/or equipment.
Comply with ECF policies and procedures, including mandated reporting requirements.
Attend staff meetings and in-service sessions.
Observe regular, on-site work hours.
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.  California License in Occupational Therapy. Current registration with American Occupational Therapist Association.
Experience: One year as an OT working with children ages birth to five years.
 Knowledge/Abilities/Skills: 

Ability to administer the Gesell Developmental Test.
Ability to communicate effectively using tact and diplomacy at all times.
Ability to take the initiative and use sound judgment when making decisions.
Ability to maintain confidences and confidentiality.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Good organizational skills.
Computer skills required for report writing.
Basic knowledge of the skills of the other team members.
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or English/Armenian) highly preferred

REQUIREMENTS


Driving is an essential function of this position.  Proof of valid California driver&rsquo;s license, reliable transportation, evidence of state-mandated car insurance, and insurable driving record are required.  While driving for work, should a need arise, the employee&rsquo;s insurance is deemed primary and ECF&rsquo;s coverage is secondary.

Work Environment

This is a program for infants and toddlers (age&rsquo;s birth to 36 months) who have varying degrees of learning, behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities.  Employees may encounter children who are in crisis, exhibiting emotional/psychological distress, or behaving in an aggressive manner.  Work is performed at the child&rsquo;s home.  Environment may include frequent interruptions, loud noise, odors, varying indoor temperature, and drafts. Outdoor temperature and weather will vary.  Employees may not be in a room alone with a child unless the door or blinds are open.  Children must never be left unattended.

POSITION SUMMARY

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Master of Arts/Science Degree in Speech Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field. Current California State License
AND
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Pathology.
Experience: Two years clinical experience with children ages birth to three years who have a wide range of disorders.
Essential Duties:

Evaluate clients to diagnose and plan treatment for speech, language, fluency, articulation, expressive and receptive language delays, and hearing loss.
Prepare comprehensive report following evaluation and develop a treatment plan. Review evaluation results and treatment plan with parents.
Provide both site based and in home services as required by a variety of contracted agencies. Monitor client&rsquo;s progress and adjust services as needed.
Maintain, complete, and deliver monthly billing for all therapists and submit to the appropriate staff member, meeting all deadlines.
Maintain accurate scheduling and related record systems.
Consult with family members and other professionals involved with treatment of client on an on-going basis, abiding by all HIPPA laws.
Follow all goals provided in IEP.
Provide parent education regarding speech improvement strategies for both site based and in home therapy clients.
Consult with a variety of agencies regarding referrals, progress of treatment, and discharge of services.

Other Duties

May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows (CFY&rsquo;s), and Graduate Student Interns.

Position Summary

Under direction the CDS will provide services to children ages birth to 36 months, who have or are at risk of having developmental delays, and their families in a manner that is congruent with ECF&rsquo;s mission.  
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise classroom staff.  Plan and organize activities to maximize student-centered utility of teacher&rsquo;s aides and other staff.  Clearly communicate assignments and expectations.  Share and review client and program information with staff weekly. Center-based only.


Maintain the site in a neat and orderly manner ensuring safety is a priority.  Supervise and assist with daily set up and clean up per the classroom schedule and assist with site set up and clean up routines as assigned.  Ensure all equipment and toys are disinfected daily. 


Provide Regional Center case management.  Ensure the timely and regular documentation of center-based and/or home visit case notes, required reports, emails and evaluations-program goals. Complete paperwork (002) when clients&rsquo; services change.


Write and update reports including developmental assessments, goals, progress notes, closing summaries, and other reports in professional report format as needed and as scheduled. Email to Regional Center counselors and place all documentations in client&rsquo;s charts. 


Follow home visit and center-based guidelines and policies and report concerns to the program manager.  Complete home visit notes daily and obtain parent signatures.  Attach copy to monthly attendance record and place in client&rsquo;s file, and as directed by each program.


Work with Parents and maintain regular communication to ensure they are informed of meetings, incidents, child&rsquo;s progress, etc.  Answer questions or refer to the Program Manager.  Provide information for and attend parent meetings and goal report meetings.  Keep the Program Manager informed of all parental concerns, issues, and communications and coordinate plans to address issues with the program manager.  Assist parents as needed with transition plans, including visiting potential or new programs with the family. It is important to have good and appropriate dialogue with families.


Report any suspected child abuse as mandated by California law and immediately to the program manager.  Assist with follow-up as needed.  Report client incidents and injuries to the program manager or other administrator immediately and conduct follow-up.  


Attend and participate in meetings as scheduled, including staff meetings, supervision meetings, safety meetings, and in-service trainings. Prepare for and participate in IFSP, transition, and other client meetings.


 
Other Duties

Position Summary

A behavior therapist is a paraprofessional who implements behavior change interventions under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.  A Registered Behavior Technician is primarily responsible for direct 1:1 implementation of treatment plans related to skill acquisition and behavior reduction as well as data collection procedures. Skills targeted typically include communication, social, and daily living skills along with any other skills which make a socially significant change in the child&rsquo;s individual, family, and community life.  A behavior therapist also provides support and feedback on session structure and practicality of program implementation. Children served vary in ages and are mostly diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Implement behavior plans with fidelity


Collect data and daily notes documenting child&rsquo;s progress.  


Work with supervisor (give and receive feedback) on program implementation. 


Attend trainings and required safety webinars.                 


Other Duties


 Attend team trainings and supervision sessions.  


Comply with ECF&rsquo;s Injury and Illness Prevention Program.  Ensure safe use and operation of tools and/or equipment.


Comply with ECF policies and procedures, including mandated reporting requirements.

Qualifications
 
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Associate degree in education, psychology or related field (may substitute experience for a degree. See below).  Registered Behavior Technician Certification a plus!

Experience: With an associate degree, six months working with individuals with developmental disabilities.  Without a degree, two years working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:


Working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and/or experience with implementation of other behavioral programs.


Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.


Ability to work independently and as part of a team and follow instructions of supervisor.


Basic computer skills


Maintain a professional image and courteous demeanor.


Obtain and maintain Registered Behavior Technician Certification (training provided by company) within 6 months of employment.

Position Summary 
Under supervision, the Art Instructor will teach printmaking to consumers (adults with varying degrees of learning, behavioral, emotional, and intellectual disabilities) in the program.  Implement special education and behavior treatment plans.  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Implement artistic, educational, and behavioral support plans for assigned consumers, referring to consumers IPP. Ensure consumers&rsquo; well-being during operating hours of the Art Center, while on the premises, and out in the community.  Maintain case notes on a monthly basis and participate in meetings and other in-services as assigned.  Ensure consumers&rsquo; attendance books are accurate and complete.  Provide supervision during consumers&rsquo; arrival, departure, and lunchtime.
Give instruction in the proper use of materials, care, and protection of artwork, production of saleable art, and help consumers to become proficient in printmaking.  Ensure the safe use of equipment, including basic safety measures to be used when working with various print plates and presses, safe operational procedures (ensuring all safety protocols are implemented in operating the presses), etc.  Create any protocols needed for increased safety.  Monitor artist throughout their entire printmaking art project. Assist and instruct consumers on projects related to their IPP (Individual Program Plan) in printmaking.
Set up/prepare print press to be used daily and maintain equipment; ensure inventory of printmaking supplies are ordered and maintained.  Ensure all art equipment is being properly used and maintained by consumers and assigned studio area is maintained and clean.  Organize consumers&rsquo; portfolios by properly labeling and storing artwork in the appropriate areas.
Participate in staff meetings to identify and implement artistic, educational, psychological and social objectives for each consumer.
Follow appropriate protocol and policies in assisting consumers during any incidents or seizures. Employ NCI procedures as needed to assist consumers who are exhibiting aggressive behavior.  Adhere to ECF&rsquo;s Illness and Injury Prevention Safety Program and follow ECF guidelines for reporting medical emergencies, suspected abuse or neglect and unusual incidents to counseling or supervisory staff.  Implement First Aid/CPR as necessary.  Assist consumers with personal hygiene needs including toileting, illness and incidents of incontinence.
Be available to help promote the Art Centers during work hours.  This includes but is not limited to informing the public of the Art Center mission and services when the public is touring Art Center facilities, asking questions during events, or inquiring about how they can support the program.  Support Art Center events and programs through distribution of materials and information to all interested parties. 
Staff and supervise special exhibits and Art Center work at various locations and times.  Assist in organizing art shows and events which may include matting, framing, and installation and tear down of shows.  Greet the public and assist consumers with presenting and discussing their work with the public.

Qualifications
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree and demonstrable printmaking and silk screen skills.  
Experience:  Six months in any combination of the following: studio work, teaching (including undergrad TA positions), work on public and private art projects, art installations, work in art museums, or any other directly related experience.   
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills: 
&middot;   Knowledge of print press operations and maintenance and the use of various types of plates.
&middot;   Effective verbal and written communication skills to teach adult artists.
&middot;   Ability to use public transportation or personal vehicles to transport consumers for community outings.

Exposure to changes in temperature and weather conditions when travelling to art exhibits, other ECF sites, etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Seeking an individual to provide individualized vocational training to consumers (adults with varying degrees of learning, behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities) and organize all aspects of job site placements under supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Assist case management staff in the development and implementation of the vocational plan for each consumer. Develop daily work schedules of tasks to be performed by consumers and monitor for quality and completion. Circulate in consumers&rsquo; work area at least 80% of workday and maintain detailed and accurate records/progress notes on consumer work habits, skills, behaviors, etc.
Act as a role model and teach job tasks to consumers and monitor quality control of work performed. Teach consumers good work habits and skills necessary to succeed on the job such as the importance of punctuality, good attendance, following instructions, communication, getting along with co-workers and supervisors, social and interpersonal skills, and self care skills (hygiene and grooming), etc.
Teach independent living skills related to work. This may include travel training (use of public transportation), basic money management (counting money, receiving change), self-advocacy (communicating needs, wants & desires), etc. In consultation with supervisor handle job site complaints and problems. May transport and/or accompany consumers on public transportation.
Develop working knowledge about job site company policies, work duties and responsibilities. Ensure quality control standards of job site contract specifications are maintained. Ensure that all machinery (vacuum cleaner, extension cords, copiers, etc.) are in safe operating condition prior to use and that all safety guards (wet floor signs, etc.) are in place as needed. Correct and/or report unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.


QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School diploma or equivalent,
Experience: One year teaching/coaching/instructing individuals (preferably adults) with developmental, learning, emotional or physical disabilities in a direct client service position.
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:
&bull; Working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and/or experience with implementation of other behavioral programs
&bull; Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Position Summary

Under supervision, the Art Instructor-Social Media will be responsible for teaching art to adults with varying degrees of developmental and intellectual disabilities. This position involves assisting artists in making social media content to highlight their work and specifically promote finished work available for sale on the artecf.org website. When needed the instructor will coordinate with ECF&rsquo;s marketing team and the team operating the webstore. Instructor will integrate artists&rsquo; content ideas with current social media trends. Working with artists, Instructor will create a schedule to ensure content is shared consistently. Additionally, the instructor will implement special education strategies and behavior treatment plans tailored to each participant&rsquo;s needs.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities





Use ECF vehicles to transport participants to community activities and events. Maintain outing logs and report issues immediately.

Position Summary 

Under the supervision of the payroll manager, assume responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and completing bi-weekly payroll functions within the Insperity PEO or third-party online payroll platform(s).  Manage payroll file system and assist Payroll Manager in payroll reporting and audit preparation. 



Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Coordinate with Human Resources staff to retrieve accurate information for use in payroll processing.
Enter payroll information for all new hires and edit payroll records for existing staff within Insperity or third-party online payroll platform(s). 
Ensure all required back-up documentation is in place prior to creating and editing records in Insperity system or third-party online payroll platform(s).
Ensure confidentiality of all staff personnel and payroll information.  Notify Payroll Manager of any suspected lapses.
Coordinate with Insperity staff regarding payroll data issues when necessary.
Process bi-weekly payroll &ndash; staff and client - in collaboration with Payroll Manager.
Review client/consumer payroll data from manual timesheet against Insperity for accuracy.
Ensure all staff and client payroll data is accurate and ready for processing
Review payroll data with Payroll Manager for accuracy before submitting to Insperity or third-party online payroll platform(s).
Prepare manual payroll checks and logs according to departmental policy and procedures.
Provide excellent service to staff and clients regarding payroll issues
Create, run, and format payroll reports to send to CEO/COO/Directors.
Organize and manage payroll file system
Retrieve, organize, and present payroll information to Human Resources upon request
Assist Payroll Manager in preparation for audits


Other Duties

Position Summary

The Community Integration Specialist will provide direct supervision, training and evaluation of participants' preferred community-based activity. The Specialist will work with participants to integrate them into the community and enhance their quality of life as a valued member of society.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Provide supervision and serve as job coach to program participants while facilitating their full inclusion in the volunteer placement, recreation, and employment sites of their choosing. Play an integral part in participant community integration into the surrounding communities while enhancing their quality of life. Provide behavioral intervention to participants through appropriate methods as designated through NCI Training and overall goals. Integrating participants with a 1-2 ratio in person-centered community activities including exploring community resources based on participant choice, job exploring, productive recreational activities as indicated in curriculum and managing contacts to cultivate, grow and in maintaining each relationship. Healthy lifestyle will be supported by community agency partnerships, both in-house and in the community. Will assist participants to become self-advocates and independent through self-determination.

 

Use public transportation, personal vehicle or ECF vehicles to transport participants to volunteer commitments, community activities and events. Maintain ECF vehicle logs, perform regular maintenance checks, and report issues immediately to the program manager.

 

Provide supervision, training, and evaluation of participants' choice of volunteer and community-based activities. Teach new skills identified in the participants' Individual Program Plan (IPP) including but not limited to self-help, communication, gross and fine motor, vocational, pre-employment, cognitive, social-  emotional skills and in identifying and accessing important community resources. Assist in the development of motivational techniques and in improving work skills of participants.

 

Establish, coordinate, and implement person-centered community activities with guidance and support from the case management team. Maintain participant documentation to include but not limited to daily, monthly, and quarterly evaluations as directed by case manager. Document unusual incidents through case notes/SIR reporting.

 

Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings.

&middot;         Comply with ECF policies and procedures, including mandated reporting requirements.
Regular and reliable attendance is required for this position.

Assist participants as needed with personal hygiene including toileting, illness, and incidents of incontinence.

Qualifications

Education/Licenses/Certifications:  High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: One year working with individuals with special needs.
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills: 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with participants to provide direction and understand their needs.
Detail oriented with excellent document skills.
Patience and compassion to work with individuals with a variety of special needs.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to drive ECF van.

 

Requirements


Driving is an essential function of this position. Proof of valid California driver&rsquo;s license, reliable transportation, evidence of state-mandated car insurance, and insurable driving record are required. While driving for work, should a need arise, the employee&rsquo;s insurance is deemed primary and ECF&rsquo;s coverage is secondary.
Driving Disclaimer- Employees driving for company business must maintain a clean record and operate vehicles safely and responsibly. Company vehicles will be monitored and activity recorded. Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the highly qualified teacher is to provide an educational program for all enrolled students, continually assess student needs, and design and deliver lessons based on those needs and state standards. The teacher also maintains records and communicates with parents and management, including the principal and counselors.

Timecard Component
**Timecards must be submitted for time worked and verified by the Supervisor no later than the deadline of each pay period.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Classroom
&bull; Manage the educational program for each student in the assigned classroom. To implement educational programs that apply strategies and skills that assist students in meeting and progressing IEP goals and district and State requirements.
&bull; Establish individual student goals and objectives and coordinate these with other services being provided to the student, using the appropriate school district form. Write detailed daily lesson plans with daily objectives, materials, methods, and activities. Assess individual students in all curriculum areas relevant to the IEP twice a year and document in the progress reports.
&bull; Manage the educational program for each student in the assigned classroom. To implement educational programs that apply strategies and skills that assist students in meeting and progressing IEP goals and district and State requirements.
&bull; Maintain a positive learning environment that fosters students&rsquo; personal responsibility and participation in planning as appropriate.
&bull; Develop appropriate and complementary activities (i.e., field trips or presentations) coordinating these with other school programs and ensuring that they comply with school policies.
&bull; Maintain communication between the classroom team, principal, and the school administrative staff, especially in regard to student information and attendance, class schedule changes, and the changing needs of the students and the classroom program.
&bull; Establish and maintain a behavior management system in the classroom consistent with the school&rsquo;s policies.
&bull; Maintain student records including progress charts, daily or weekly grades, test scores, behavioral check sheets, incident reports, report cards, graduation worksheets, etc.
&bull; Maintain an attractive classroom environment conducive to and representative of learning (organized, orderly, and accessible). Bulletin board displays should be updated regularly.
Parents
&bull; Communicate with each parent/care provider on a weekly basis for encouragement and support; maintain a parent contact log and submit it to the direct supervisor every week.
&bull; Communicate with each parent prior to the IEP meeting to ensure that they can attend; be prepared to discuss and present the student&rsquo;s goals and objectives, current work samples, and test protocols.
&bull; Hold at least one progress conference yearly with the family of each student.
School
&bull; Supervise, train, and assist aides, interns, volunteers, or other trainees serving in assigned classroom.
&bull; Communicate assignments and expectations, maintain accurate attendance records, complete performance evaluations, and initiate disciplinary actions.
&bull; Participate in school committees, programs, and activities as requested. Attend Fall Back-to-School Night and Spring Open House events.
&bull; Attend faculty meetings, core, and team meetings as directed.
&bull; Participate in required training including dispensing of medication, mandated reporting, behavior management, confidentiality/HIPAA, etc.
&bull; Implement First Aid/CPR as necessary; initiate approved NCI procedures when dealing with students in crisis.
&bull; Dispense medication as directed per the student&rsquo;s prescription.
Other Duties

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Licenses/Certifications: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree and a current California State Special Education Credential or other special education credential recognized by the California Teaching Commission.

POSITION SUMMARY
Work cooperatively as an interdisciplinary team member to provide services and devise appropriate service plans for children ages birth to five years, who have or are at risk of having developmental delays, and their families.  Oversee parent support meetings, coordinate referrals to community services, provide ongoing supervision and training to social workers and social worker interns, and provide support to departmental staff.

Essential Duties:

Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team and help in making placement decisions and planning programs to meet the special needs of children.  Serve as a resource to educators and staff regarding social work and ancillary services which may benefit Early Start families.  Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.

Organize and oversee social work programs to include parent training classes, parent group, specialized counseling and support activities. Serve as a liaison between the child, home and community resources.

Make court appearances to present data and report case findings. Serve as an advocate for developmentally disabled individuals for their civil and personal rights.

Provide support to families in crisis (e.g. domestic violence or suspected child abuse and neglect, etc.).  Provide crisis transportation or escort to parents or families in need of crisis services.

Ensure families involved in Early Start are assisted in applying for Social Security, SSI, MediCal, Healthy Families, CCS and other government benefit programs as needed; assist social workers and interns as needed.

Provide in-service training and workshops for staff and interns as requested by Program Manager.  Keep abreast of developments and research in the field of social work and share with colleagues.

Ensure accurate case notes and records are maintained by social workers and interns. 

In consultation with the Human Resources Department, handle personnel administration, including hiring, training, supervision, development, evaluation and dismissal of those supervised in compliance with ECF policies, practices and procedures.  Manage, monitor and facilitate the work responsibilities for social workers and interns.
