As a Clinical Coordinator, you will be responsible for scheduling new patients for Ambulatory Infusion Clinics. 
JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Coordinator will work to provide positive, safe, and professional care experience for all patients. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the quality and accuracy of services provided and performs all tasks with the utmost care. Thoroughly review patient orders, medications, and health information and utilize drug specific information from the package insert to clinically clear patients for treatment. The Clinical Coordinator will call patients within 24 hours to schedule their appointments and notify Clinic Directors and clinic nurses of scheduled patients at EOD. Must thoroughly and accurately document all activities in Electronic Medical Record (EMR). The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for managing and requesting expired orders from ordering providers at all RSI clinics. The Clinical Coordinator will work with Clinic Directors to order inventory for all RSI clinics. The Clinical Coordinator will report to the Lead Clinical Coordinator.
 
ESSENTIAL DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of the Clinical Coordinator, but are not limited to:

Provides friendly and professional service in person, over the phone and through written communication.
Demonstrates empathy and understanding to establish rapport with patients and caregivers of all ages.
Must be able to work alongside as well as lead the Patient Access department.
Understands specific drug requirements as written in the PI for clinical clearance of patients.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Uses Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to thoroughly input information, schedule appts and document information regarding the scheduling process.
Utilizing EMR to keep track of expiring orders as well as communicate need for new orders with ordering provider clinics.
Ability to utilize Excel to track and trend data and KPI metrics.
Communicates clearly and effectively with patients, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals.
Demonstrates an organized and efficient prioritization of workload and responsibilities.
Maintains a current knowledge of all equipment utilized and performs and/or oversees routine maintenance, calibration, and quality assurance of all equipment.
Ordering supplies and product inventory
Always maintain professional conduct.
Actively participates with organizational quality and performance improvement efforts.
Demonstrates a commitment toward exhibiting Reliant Specialty Infusions core values/mission and advancing RSI strategic goals.
Perform all other duties as required and assigned.

 
QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school
Current unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse licensure
At least three years of clinical experience, training in infusion therapy preferred.
Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Proficient with EHR platforms, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
Must be a team player, provide exceptional patient care and excellent customer service.

Accurately performs necessary nursing responsibilities including, but not limited to initiating and maintaining IV access for infusions, weighing patients, performing vital signs, phlebotomy procedures, administering oxygen
Demonstrates appropriate storage and handling of drug products as well as human specimens
Educates patients regarding symptom/side effect management during therapy and within the scope of practice
Communicates clearly and effectively with patients, coworkers and other healthcare professionals
Demonstrates an organized and efficient prioritization of workload and responsibilities
Maintains a current knowledge of all equipment utilized and performs and/or oversees routine maintenance, calibration and quality assurance of all equipment
Assist with scheduling patients, collecting and posting payment
Manages supply orders, inventor/par levels and required reporting
Manages Employee ADP and scheduling
Ensures all clinic clinical staff are educated regarding medications administer on location including infusion preparation, managing anaphylaxis and/or code emergency situations
Maintains professional conduct at all times
Actively participates with organizational quality and performance improvement efforts
