We are currently looking for Construction General Laborers with experience working in water and sewer to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you&rsquo;ll work alongside a Lead Groundman, Foreman, or independently to keep projects running smoothly and safely. What You&rsquo;ll Do

Assist with installing trench and excavation safety systems to maintain a safe work environment.
Help set up and install underground utility pipelines for water, sewer, and storm lines.
Support testing and sampling of installed utility pipelines to ensure quality and performance.
Familiarize yourself with Indiana&rsquo;s no-dig laws and the 811 process to help us stay compliant.
Maintain general housekeeping, erosion control, and tool upkeep to keep the site organized and efficient.
Operate equipment such as pipe saws, pumps, and impact wrenches to assist with project needs.
Assist in setting up and maintaining traffic control systems to ensure smooth operations.
Drive the crew truck to and from the job site when necessary.
Take on additional tasks as needed to support the crew and project.

What We Need

At least 1 year of water and sanitary pipe experience 
Knowledge of pipeline construction methods, techniques, and tools.
Strong communication skills to read, write, and follow verbal instructions..
Understanding of traffic control setup and maintenance.
Familiarity with General Groundman, Top Man, and Pipelayer duties.
Valid Indiana Driver&rsquo;s License with a safe driving record.
OSHA 10-hour card (or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment).
Ability to perform tasks that require sitting, bending, standing, walking, and climbing; Ability to lift over 50 pounds when required.
Primarily outdoor work in various weather conditions; Occasional indoor work in a shop environment.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience in a related field.
At least one year of related pipeline experience, including trenching and shoring.

What You'll Do

Operate HDD equipment to complete pipeline installation, fill trenches, and handle materials or equipment as required.
Drive crew trucks, pickup trucks, and other vehicles to transport equipment and materials to job sites.
Load and unload materials and equipment to keep the job site running smoothly.
Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and minor repairs on HDD equipment.
Complete required records and reports for equipment usage, material movements, and installations.
Step in to operate other mechanical equipment or perform general labor duties as needed.

What We Need

Two years of experience in construction trades involving trenching, shoring, or pipeline installation, plus experience operating heavy equipment and transporting materials.
Valid Indiana Driver's License.
OSHA 10-hour card (or ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment).
High school diploma or GED.
Experience operating HDD equipment and knowledge of materials used in pipeline installation.
Strong communication skills to interact with clients, customers, and teammates and flexibility to adapt to changing assignments throughout the day.
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, with occasional indoor work in a shop environment; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

What You&rsquo;ll Do:

Work with the operator to ensure proper grading and installation of underground water, sanitary, and storm sewer lines
Assist with testing and sampling of installed utility pipelines to meet quality standards
Learn and stay aligned with Indiana&rsquo;s no-dig laws and the 811 process

Certified in HDPE pipe fusion
At least 2 years of water and sanitary pipe experience
Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, techniques, and tools
Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as maps, operating manuals, and safety guidelines
Understanding of traffic control setup and maintenance
Previous experience in General Groundman, Top Man, and Pipelayer duties
Ability to lift over 50 pounds and perform tasks that require bending, standing, walking, and climbing
High school diploma or GED, with one year of related pipeline experience (specifically trenching and shoring)

What You&rsquo;ll Do

Operate the Track Hoe and Backhoe to efficiently excavate trenches, backfill, and handle the loading and unloading of materials and equipment as required for each project.
Drive crew trucks, pickup trucks, and other motorized vehicles to transport tools, materials, and personnel to and from job sites when needed.
Install and maintain trench and excavation safety systems to ensure a secure and compliant work environment throughout the duration of the project.
Transport materials and equipment to and from various job sites, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to keep projects on schedule.
Perform routine maintenance and make necessary adjustments or repairs to all equipment being operated, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
Follow established safety procedures for all machinery, equipment, and motorized vehicles, ensuring the safety of yourself and your team at all times.
Complete and submit required records and reports accurately and in a timely manner to ensure proper documentation of work activities.
Step in and assume the responsibilities of an Equipment Operator, Grade 2, when necessary, performing related tasks and supporting the team as needed.
Operate additional mechanical equipment and tools for various relief assignments or project needs.

What We Need

Valid Indiana Driver&rsquo;s License with a safe driving record; (Class A or Class B CDL is highly preferred)
OSHA 10-hour card (or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment).
At least 2 years of experience working with water and sanitary pipelines preferred
Experience in operating equipment, machinery, and motorized vehicles.
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of two years of experience in machine operations and equipment transportation, ideally in pipeline construction involving trenching and shoring.
Knowledge of company policies, safety rules, and procedures.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, lift (up to 50 pounds), climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform other physical tasks as needed.
Ability to work in various positions and environments, including operating motor vehicles and handling materials.
