We are a dynamic, growing, multi-specialty dealership and consulting firm looking to fill a full time Commercial Interior Design position. Role would require candidate to produce accurate and cohesive space plans and FF&E specifications for customer presentation and submittal.  Candidate should have experience listening and working with clients, proficiency with CAD design and related software. Essential Responsibilities 

Provide accurate and complete drawings and specification of product for quotes and orders
Produce product and finish presentations drawings or boards for client presentations



Perform project interior design, space planning, and development tasks including drawings, calculations, cost estimates and FF&E specifications
Attend project meetings as necessary
Provide punch and post-occupancy reviews for projects as needed
Work as a team to meet critical deadlines 
Participate in regular product training
 

Requirements


2-4 year degree in Interior Design or similar field
2+ years of experience in the Contract Office Furniture Industry, Architectural Interior Design or similar field 
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail
Basic knowledge of construction and design process and applicable codes
Office furniture product knowledge a plus
Exposure and experience in healthcare planning a plus
AutoCAD, 20/20 CAP Studio and Worksheet, Google Sketchup, Microsoft Office and Adobe Skills
Revit experience a plus
Excellent time management skills centered around deliverable deadlines 
Strong work ethic and leadership skills necessary

Helping to take your clients needs and ideas from conception to realization. A DIRTT Designer is driven by a commitment to outstanding customer satisfaction and relied upon to:

Understand that a DIRTT project is not a product installation. Working with DIRTT should be an innovative and unique experience for every client, from initial education through to final walkthrough;
Take the clients needs and ideas and guide them to a DIRTT specific solution that will wow all stakeholders;
Design client projects using ICE software, populating the DIRTT space from scratch or from a predesigned AutoCAD plan;
Review all production information and drawings for accuracy;
Create shop drawings for client projects using ICE;
Organize and submit orders in conjunction with the Project Manager; and
Understand the scope of work on site and know all the details of a project.


Experience, Assets and Attributes

Experience with Architectural Construction detailing and coordinating MEP consultants 
A high sense of urgency, able to execute on tasks efficiently and calmly when multitasking and quick thinking are required;

Outstanding interpersonal skills that let them work closely with all project stakeholders as well as DIRTT teammates, including your DIRTT Champion and PM, to manage expectations and ensure the clients experience is a positive one;
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage details of each project and scope of work;
An understanding of interior construction including architectural elements, lighting, electrical, HVAC, and basic base-building knowledge;
The ability to read construction documents and specifications;
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and other 3D software;
A 2-4 year degree in Interior Design; 
2-5 years experience in previous experience working Contract Office Furniture Industry, Architectural Interior Design or similar field.

The DIRTT Technician should be able to take direction from and work with the DIRTT Leadership, actively participate as a team member, assist in management of the job site, work well with people, practice critical thinking skills and take ownership of the role.

Roles & Responsibilities

 Successfully install, move, reconfigure, repair, clean and troubleshoot DIRTT projects
 Assist the DIRTT team in any field tasks necessary to complete our customers projects
 Document and troubleshoot deficiencies
 Communicate issues, concerns and general feedback in a professional manner both internally and externally
 Support the Project Manager and DIRTT Champion
 Coordinate with Project Manager, installation logistics such as where installers can unload vehicles, staging areas, installation priorities, methods, and hours of access, etc.
 Keep current on construction and DIRTT technical information
 Ensure proper layout for DIRTT walls is completed prior to installation of walls. Installs, provides direction and delegate to the installers.
 Ensure the job site is left clean and organized.
 Performs and guides others on special applications (i.e. wall mounting, leveling, structural connections, custom cuts and other field modifications)
 Planning and management of product, materials and tools
 Site measure as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements

 3 to 5 years of construction or related experience
 Must be able to travel within the territory and/or region as needed
 Excellent customer service and team communications skills
 Have full range of physical mobility in upper and lower body with full ability to lift, pull, and push product / equipment
 Ability to read construction documents and specifications  Ability to complete job site safety programs when necessary
 Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing
 Keen attention to detail
 Excellent time management skills centered around deliverable deadlines
 Strong work ethic and leadership skills necessary
