What You&rsquo;ll Do:

Oversee the safe and successful operation of assigned packaging lines
Ensure line set-up is correct and in accordance with SOPs and customer specifications
Monitor and verify correct batch codes, product components, and package quality
Assist the Packaging Supervisor in line audits and communicate relevant information about performance, machinery, and quality
Lead and support Line Workers and Material Handlers to ensure safe, efficient work practices
Operate and adjust machinery as necessary within your scope of training
Keep waste within acceptable limits and suggest process improvements
Complete and attach Finished Goods tickets and required production documentation accurately and on time
Interface with customers during line tests and product launches
Support GMP compliance and production efficiency across assigned lines
Perform other duties as assigned

 
What We&rsquo;re Looking For:

High school diploma or GED required; prior experience in manufacturing and team leadership preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication
Proficient in reading production specifications and completing documentation
Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement tools (balances, torque meters, vacuum/seal strength testers)
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain focus under pressure
Knowledge of machine operations and good working knowledge of office equipment
Ability to train, motivate, and lead team members effectively

 
Physical Requirements:

Visual acuity for reading codes and detecting small product defects
Dexterity to keep pace with high-speed production lines
Ability to stand for a full shift, push/pull/palletize boxes, and lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to hear alarms and communicate effectively in a noisy environment

Basic Job Functions:
Responsible for the day to day supervision of all mechanical staff. Controls the PM
program for the packaging and manufacturing equipment. Reviews Production schedule
and insures task/line assignments are properly supported. Interacts with Management,
Engineering, and all packaging personal to provide and receive feedback of operations
that require improvement/repair. Ablity to perform mechanical set ups and
maintenance tasks on all packaging lines. Is knowledgeable on each individual
component of a packaging line and the correct set up for interaction and connection
between them for maximum efficiency.

Essential Functions of the Job:
&bull; Provide direction, leadership, training, counseling and feedback to staff.
&bull; Develop and maintain detailed training program.
&bull; Participate in coordination and execution of packaging equipment validations and
IQ's and OQ's.
&bull; Initiate and maintain the preventive maintenance program following up to ensure
that maintenance was effective, successful and documented properly.
&bull; Coordinate set ups and assignments in compliance with weekly and monthly
packaging schedule.
&bull; Ensure that set up sheets are being developed and maintained as per current
procedures.
&bull; Optimize safety, quality, output and efficiency of all packaging lines.
&bull; Participate in teams and attend group meetings as needed to set and meet goals.
&bull; Ability to execute all requirements of the &ldquo;Mechanic A&rdquo; position
&bull; Able to set up full line configurations of multiple pieces of equipment, independently
&bull; Meet with Scheduling personnel to review weekly production schedule and advise of
possible improvements or delays in tentatively planned timing
&bull; Supervise mechanical personnel and assist in troubleshooting and training
&bull; Generate Purchase Requisitions for materials and parts needed
&bull; Interact with Management to assist in new project quotation generation by
providing input on equipment choices, potential capital purchases or
improvements and estimated output.
&bull; Evaluates component problems and provides feedback and samples to Customer
Service to relay to the customer.
&bull; Reviews and advises concerns about new customer projects, specifications, or
requirements to management.
&bull; Participates in the interviewing and selection of departmental employees.
&bull; Works with Engineering to improve efficiencies either through adjustments to the
factory floor&rsquo;s layout or recommended equipment improvements on the Packaging
Floor.
&bull; Assists Packaging Manager, Supervisor and QA in the investigation and
documentation of all non-conformances in the Nonconformance Information Report
systems.
&bull; Responsible for coordinating that all Equipment Cleaning Reports (ECR) are
forwarded to the Sanitizers. This also includes that the ECR&rsquo;s are documented
accurately and in compliance to c&rsquo;GMP&rsquo;s.
&bull; Other activities that are instructed by the Packaging Manager or upper management
that will ensure an efficient operation
&bull; Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements of the Job:
* Fluency in written and spoken English
* Computer literate
* Technical School training and 5 years&rsquo; experience or equivalent experience in a
manufacturing packaging environment.
* Working knowledge of machinery and packaging process
* Works effectively in high pressure situations
* Strong personal interaction skills.
* Must maintain a professional appearance.
Physical Requirements:
&bull; Possess Strength sufficient to lift, push and palletize boxes of finished product, as
needed
&bull; Ability to stand on concrete floors for full shift period
&bull; Ability to hear speech and/or alarms through plant noise

This position handles all tactical aspects of HR functions.  The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Senior HR Manager.  The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: leave of absence administration, employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.

HR Generalist Essential Job Functions:

Policies & Compliance

Knowledge of government regulations and compliance needs at a federal, state, and local level. Maintain compliance with all regulations concerning employment.
Research and administrate appropriate resources relating to specific legislation, e.g., FMLA, ADA, DOL, etc. as necessary.
Administer affirmative action program (EEO)
Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.


Onboarding & Offboarding

Receive and address all Unemployment Compensation issues, correspondence, notices and hearings.
Responsible for all phases of onboarding and terminations.

Employee Updates

Prepare changes for payroll and research payroll issues as necessary.
Maintains accurate and up to date HRIS records and compiles reports from the database.

Conduct interventions & fact-finding investigations and resolve conflicts as they arise.


Manager Coaching

Meet with management team on a monthly basis to discuss employee performance.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, onsite position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Minimal evening and weekend work may be required.

Travel:  Local travel to various worksites as required.

Education and/or Experience: A bachelor&rsquo;s degree and two to five years&rsquo; human resource experience.  Prefer PHR or SPHR and experience in a manufacturing environment.]]></description>
