Core Responsibilities: 

Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, maintaining positive guest relations at all times. Greet and communicate cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel.

Promptly, accurately and efficiently know how and where to post all charges. 
Have complete working knowledge of Front Office computer or manual system, including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often. 
Accurately manage cash handling, including receiving cash, checks and credit card information from guests for payment of hotel charges and making change correctly. 
Review any reservations with special requests and work to block rooms accordingly. 
Have knowledge of hotel rates, discounts and how to handle each. 
Have working knowledge of reservations and procedures, including how to take same day reservations. Should be able to take reservations in approximately 2 minutes. Know and follow cancellation procedures and relocation procedures when necessary. 
Have knowledge of hotel property, hotel staff and hotel services, with hours of operation. Give clear directions to hotel facilities for inquiring guests. 
Efficiently operate PBX and accurately connect incoming calls in a professional and efficient manner. All calls should be answered in 3 rings.
Act as the concierge and know the restaurant and local events to share with the guests.    
Communicate with Housekeeping and Engineering Departments regarding guest rooms, requests, and maintenance requests/needs. 
Maintains a positive work environment, fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and service.
Perform other duties as assigned, especially related to assisting guests arriving and departing the hotel. 
Completes tasks, checklists, guest requests timely and accurately.
Solves guest issues in the best manner possible, escalates when necessary.
Able to follow property safety and security procedures.
Perform other tasks any reasonable requests as assigned or directed. 

 
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with guests and associates, including the abilities to give directions, instructions, information, answer questions and provide service required. 
Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability 
Know and be able to administer first aid

Minimum Qualifications:

Highschool degree, hospitality or similar degree preferred or equivalent work experience
6 months of customer service experience
Hospitality experience strongly preferred

Director of Sales
 
Reports to General Manager

The Director of Sales works to maximize sales occupancy and rates in conjunction with hotel operations to increase profits by increasing room sales and generating business through aggressive sales efforts. 
Core Responsibilities: 
&middot;         Solicit guest rooms, groups, meetings, banquet, and catering sales business, and receive and answer all inquiries relating to the sales department. 
&middot;        Flexible and adaptable to produce and service sales business in a variety of areas including and not limited to group, consortia, business, corporate, catering, travel, etc.
&middot;        Do business sites, create contracts, execute events.
&middot;        Conduct a successful, aggressive solicitation process involving outside sales calls, inside appointments, telephone calls, individual letter and direct mail. As a proactive sales manager, 80% (eighty) of time should be spent in active sales solicitation. 

Assist the General Manager in the preparation of the annual marketing plan, including the action plans covering assigned market segments. 
Send proposals on all leads which fit the profile of the property and actively follow through to convert from proposal to definite status. Proposals and confirmations should be sent to clients immediately upon holding space. 
Clearly outline on booking sheets client&rsquo;s room block requirements, suite requirements, meeting and banquet space requirement so the accurate facilities may be reserved. 
Obtain, document and route all necessary information on definite groups, including billing information, credit application, rooming list and VIP arrangements. Details on meeting arrangements, menus, audio-visual arrangements, etc., should be documented and passed on to catering manager for follow up. 
Responsible for maintaining a sales quota as assigned by the General Manager and Ownership. 
Maintain total and complete sensitivity to customer satisfaction and guests&rsquo; needs. 

&middot;        Communicate with Front Office, Housekeeping and Engineering Departments regarding guest rooms, requests, service needs and maintenance requests/needs. 

Responsible for preparing and providing the General Manager with weekly sales call reports and weekly itineraries of planned sales calls to potential customers. 
Practice a culture of guest service in all you do; promote courtesy, good will and a positive attitude in each and every encounter. Ensure staff provides cheerful smart service daily.
Ensure guest satisfaction, follow up on guest feedback.
Lead and work in a positive work environment, fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and service.
Able to follow property safety and security procedures.

Efficiently and safely operate central HVAC equipment and mechanical equipment using sound engineering practices and specified operating procedures. 
Accurately and efficiently repair and maintain food production and related kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, ice machines and refrigeration systems, boilers and plumbing systems and all electrical and natural gas distribution systems. 
Trouble-shoot electrical and pneumatic problems and repair them as quickly and economically as possible. 
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on an on-going basis. 
Be familiar with and maintain all fire safety equipment operations and implement emergency procedures when required. 
Respond to any HVAC calls or room calls as a priority. 
Produce accurate logs, charts, and preventive maintenance forms. 
Provide training to other team members as needed.

Responsibilities

Follow the appearance and dress policy in the handbook.  Follow seasonal attire procedures when advised.
Prepare the bar in an adequate manner to accommodate a busy night.  Restock bar completely (wine/beer/liquor/soda/straws/rags) at the end of the night for a smooth opening the following day

&middot;        Prepare and open the bar on time (candles lit, music on, etc.).  Tables, stools and cushions should be neatly arranged per the bar standard.  Right angles / parallel and equal placement of tables. Clean table tops and bases before each shift starts.  Lighting to be set to the standard brightness and be equal in all four sections.  Dim lights slightly at sundown.  
&middot;        Cheerfully greet and acknowledge clients promptly.

Participate in departmental meetings and continually communicate a clear and consistent message regarding the departmental goals to produce desired results. Use all available training tools to train staff and provide follow-up training as necessary.
Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with Ambassadors and ensure Ambassadors do the same.
Schedule Ambassadors to business demands and tracking time and attendance

Focus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions 
Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times 


Physical Requirements: 


Quickly and thoroughly perform cleaning duties in guest rooms, spending approximately 25 minutes per guest room, and cleaning approximately 16-18 rooms per shift 
Sit, stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time 
Bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning requirements 
Climb stairs
Inspect rooms for cleanliness and immediately report guest belongings that have been left behind 
Lift approximately thirty (50) pounds of equipment or supplies using safe lifting techniques 
Push heavy carts, approximately one hundred (100) pounds 
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, using written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork 
Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability
Direct evacuations in an emergency 



Minimum Qualifications:


Highschool degree or equivalent work experience
Related experience with physical labor
Hospitality experience strongly preferred
Able to read, write and communicate to safely perform the work
