We are seeking a Product Design Engineer Contractor to join our LSP Quality & Engineering team, located in Irving, Texas.

LSP and DANCO (PPG, LLC) are one of the top distributors in the U.S. for plumbing repair and replacement parts. LSP/DANCO sources and distributes parts for virtually every brand of plumbing fixture, including faucets, sinks, tubs and toilets. LSP sources to contractors directly who can order materials to be shipped or picked up at our distribution center. The Product Design Engineer Contractor is responsible for driving the product design process through all phases of the product lifecycle from conceptualization to prototyping and manufacturing.
Key Duties for the role:

Provide technical support for manufacturing, production, vendors, customers and marketing including preparation of design layouts, specifications, engineering investigations, calculations, failure and root cause analyses and FEA; providing insight into materials, color specifications, packaging, cost considerations, product lines, product offering and new business opportunities.
Initiate concepts and create new product designs by preparing 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, renderings, and supporting documentation; able to update and adapt existing products to market.
Initiate and ensure the continuous improvement of good engineering design, practices and procedures. This includes implementing redesign to improve manufacturing cost and to eliminate potential field problems.


Perform other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements:

Bachelor&rsquo;s in Mechanical Engineering, Materials or related.
2-5 years of prior experience in product design or drafting.
Plastic part design experience is preferred.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Computer aided drafting experience in SolidWorks with strong working knowledge of mechanical drawings.
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and capable of working on multiple projects concurrently.
Creative problem solving using 2D drawings, 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping and FEA.
Strong writing skills; experience developing instruction manuals and product documentation.
Familiarity with manufacturing materials and processes.
Exposure to international manufacturing processes is a plus.
Knowledge of the plumbing industry with an inclination to &ldquo;do it yourself&rdquo; is preferred.
Working knowledge of Metallurgy and materials is a plus.
Ability to explain complex ideas and be comfortable sharing information with all levels, including senior management.

Hybrid Schedule. Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (Mondays & Fridays WFH).

The Danco MRO & Wholesale Sales Manager is responsible for driving strategic growth in the MRO and wholesale segments by expanding market reach, identifying new business opportunities, developing key customer relationships ultimately resulting in profitable sales growth and market share gains. Reporting to the SVP, Sales & Strategic Planning, this role focuses on penetrating high-value accounts, optimizing sales strategies, and increasing revenue and profitability. The MRO & Wholesale Sales Manager is expected to lead business development initiatives, enhance channel partnerships, and execute strategic action plans to accelerate growth in new and existing markets.
What You Will Do:

Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth in wholesale and MRO markets, identifying new channels and market opportunities.
Proactively identify, evaluate, and pursue new business partnerships, expanding the customer base and increasing market penetration.
Strengthen relationships with key plumbing wholesaler and MRO customers to retain existing business while driving incremental sales opportunities.
Lead negotiations and contract discussions with new and existing customers, ensuring profitable terms and sustainable business growth.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to align sales initiatives with company objectives.
Implement data-driven sales strategies, leveraging market trends and customer insights to refine sales approaches and maximize profitability.
Provide expert knowledge on MRO market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive positioning to enhance sales effectiveness and differentiate Danco&rsquo;s offerings.
Develop and maintain customer account plans, setting clear objectives and strategies to drive sales performance.
Monitor and improve customer satisfaction by proactively addressing service needs and ensuring seamless product delivery.

What You Will Bring:

Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of six years of sales experience, with a proven track record of driving strategic growth in wholesale and MRO markets.
Strong business development and account management skills, with expertise in identifying and capitalizing on new market opportunities.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales and profit performance data and market trends to optimize sales strategies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce tools to manage sales activities and customer relationships effectively.
