POSITION: Human Resource Site Manager
LOCATION: Remote
SUMMARY: Our client, a leading renewable energy manufacturing company is looking to hire a Human Resource Site Manager. The Human Resource Site Manager will be the lead Human Resource contact at the Rochester office. This individual is a subject matter expert and provides guidance for all HR related matters such as facilitating and supporting our Talent Acquisition team with recruitment and onboarding as well as employee relations, policy interpretation, compliance and much more. The ideal candidate for this role is someone thoroughly familiar with HR best practices while also possessing skills in the areas of: interpersonal communication, relationship building, critical thinking and prioritization.
CORE DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain productive relationships with employees, leaders, and other relevant stakeholders
- First point of on-site contact for employee questions related to HR policy interpretation, benefit inquiries and overall HR support
- Work together with the Global Talent Acquisition team, support and facilitate recruitment for the facility, including assisting where necessary with onboarding and assimilation of new hires
- Develop recommendations and coordinate employee relations activities, including leading or assisting as needed in investigations of alleged misconduct and submit findings and recommendations to HR management
- Coach and counsel leaders and employees on development, and employee disciplinary matters
- Manage relationships with key external vendors including temporary, direct placement, outsourcing and contract agencies supporting the facility
- Support the organization through participation in special HR projects that maintain a positive employer-employee relationship and maintain morale
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or another relevant field
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Human Resource, preferably in a generalist capacity
- Two (2) years’ of experience coordinating and supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, as well as experience in employee relations including workplace investigations
- HR certification preferred (PHR or SHRM-CP)
- Experience within a manufacturing environment or related industry is highly preferred
- Experience working in an organization with numerous locations and a remote workforce is highly preferred
