This role will be working out of our: Materials Department services division in Northern AZ office.This Opportunity:
We have immediate full-time career opportunities for a Senior Construction Materials Laboratory Testing Technician in our Flagstaff, AZ office. Certerra offers on-going training and the ability to gain valuable career experience and technical certifications.
This position requires a minimum five years of construction materials laboratory testing experience.
Experience should include laboratory and field testing of concrete, soil, asphalt concrete, other construction materials, and mix design processes in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and State procedures. Knowledge of masonry and asphalt laboratory testing procedures preferred. Current laboratory certifications and ability to achieve additional concrete and soil laboratory certifications is a bonus.
Other responsibilities will include assisting with maintaining AMRL / CCRL / NDOT accreditations, preparing daily reports, documenting test results, and assisting project managers and engineers with assignments.
Certifications preferred, but not required include:- American Concrete Institute (ACI)
- Field Testing Technician Level I
- Aggregate Testing Technician Level I & II
- Strength Testing Technician
- Laboratory Testing Technician Level I & II
- Masonry Testing Technician (Field and Laboratory)
- NAQTC, WAQTC, NICET Level III, ATTI and/or ICC certifications in:
- Field Testing
- Soils / Aggregate Testing
- Asphalt Concrete Testing
- Masonry Testing
Good communication and organizational skills, computer skills, good math skills, and a clean driving record are required.Physical Demands
- Physical examination required to obtain medical clearance to work
- Ability to stoop, kneel and to routinely lift and carry 50 pounds
- Clean driving record and capable of being insured for driving company vehicles
- Able to work in variable outside conditions, including extreme heat or cold if need
