Service Writer Position Description:
Reports to: Service Manager- Greeting customers and writing up what work they want performed.
- Will require unloading disabled equipment from customer trailer utilizing company provided forklift with necessary lifting equipment, such as strap or chains
- Park dropped off for service units in correct area of lot with corresponding tag for identification.
- Open work orders for each piece of equipment checked in.
- Make calls to customers informing about status of job, any delays, and/or ready for pick-up and facilitate payment when required.
- Assist customers when arrive to pick up repaired equipment insure payment is collected when required.
- May be need to assist sales department with loading or unloading of new/used equipment
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have basic equipment knowledge
- Make follow up phone calls to customers regarding customer satisfaction after repairs.
- Assist Service Mgr. with any other needs appropriate in service department.
