Procurement & Sourcing Manager | Direct Hire, Full-Time, $55k-$70k | On-Site West Chester, PA
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement & Sourcing Manager to lead our purchasing and sourcing initiatives within the fastener industry. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset to supplier management, cost optimization, and supply chain resilience. This role is integral to ensuring our operations remain competitive, efficient, and responsive to market trends.
A Day in the Life of a Procurement and Sourcing Manager- Supplier Relationship Management: Build, maintain, and enhance relationships with both domestic and international suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliable delivery schedules.
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on improving product availability, reducing costs, and ensuring supply chain stability.
- Cost Analysis & Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities through competitive bidding, contract negotiation, and supplier performance evaluations.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and potential supply chain disruptions to proactively adjust procurement strategies.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize ERP systems and data analytics to track procurement performance, streamline processes, and enhance vendor performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, sales, and product development teams to forecast demand and align procurement activities with organizational goals.
Requirements of a Procurement and Sourcing Manager
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of procurement and sourcing experience specifically within the fastener industry (required).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fastener specifications, supplier networks, and sourcing challenges unique to the industry.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven expertise in contract negotiation, cost analysis, and strategic vendor management.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex supply chain issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with international sourcing and understanding of global trade regulations.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and supply chain optimization techniques.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or equivalent.
