Compensation Manager | Temporary position $38-$43/hr.| On-Site West Chester, PA
Our client is seeking an experienced Compensation Manager to lead the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs. This role will ensure salary structures, policies, and incentives remain competitive and aligned with organizational objectives. The Compensation Manager will collaborate with HR leadership, conduct job analyses, manage compensation surveys, and provide guidance on pay practices to maintain compliance and equity.
A day in the life of a Compensation Manager- Develop and maintain compensation structures, policies, and guidelines.
- Conduct job analyses to determine appropriate salary levels.
- Evaluate market data and recommend salary adjustments.
- Administer and refine performance review and salary administration processes.
- Ensure compliance with wage laws, labor agreements, and industry standards.
- Provide leadership and support to compensation team members.
- Develop and deliver training on compensation policies.
- Collaborate with departments on organizational structure and job classifications.
- Utilize HR systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) to generate reports and conduct audits.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Finance, HR, or related field required.
- 5+ years in compensation management.
- Strong understanding of HR policies, compliance, and compensation best practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Excel, and compensation tools.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- CCP certification (preferred but not required).
- Experience in government compensation.
- Background in employee benefits administration.
- Prior experience managing a team.
