Job Title: Psychiatrist – Outpatient & ACT Team Lead
Location: Charlotte, NC
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our team. This full-time position plays a dual role in leading our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) and providing outpatient psychiatric care for clients aged 5 and older, including children, adolescents, and adults. This role offers a dynamic blend of community-based and clinic-based services, emphasizing recovery-oriented, person-centered care in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT):

Lead psychiatric care on a multidisciplinary ACTT supporting individuals with serious mental illness (SMI)

Conduct evaluations, manage medications, and provide crisis intervention for ACTT clients

Participate in team meetings, treatment planning, and coordinate care with other providers

Ensure timely, thorough documentation and ongoing communication with community partners
Outpatient Clinical Services:

Evaluate and treat outpatient clients across the lifespan (ages 5+)

Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients and caregivers

Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring response and side effects

Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, schools, and families to support holistic care

Provide clinical consultation and leadership within the outpatient clinic
-
Support residential treatment coordination as needed
Required Qualifications
-
Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry certification strongly preferred -
Valid and unrestricted state medical license (or eligibility to obtain)

DEA registration; willingness to obtain X-waiver (if applicable)

Minimum 2 years of experience in community mental health or integrated care settings preferred

Experience with ACTT or similar multidisciplinary models highly desirable

Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
