Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Talent Analytics Manager will contribute to the development of client analytics projects, developing intellectual property, and contributing data driven insights to the advisory team that strengthen client and industry relationships. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to connect talent data to broader organizational outcomes, with proven experience in data governance, advanced analytics, and data storytelling. This role is well suited for a candidate who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and possesses a strong desire to explore complex data that provides actionable insights for our clients.
Create practical insights for clients:
- Design and deliver high-quality, tailored analytics that inform client strategy, leveraging quantitative and qualitative data sources derived from stakeholder interviews, client reports, talent assessments, team assessments, and employee and culture surveys.
- Assist in client delivery, working directly with engagement lead and client on output of analytics
- Interpret complex datasets to uncover meaningful trends, patterns, and recommendations that drive impact for senior stakeholders. Translate findings into practical insights for clients to run their business more effectively.
Build and scale proprietary intellectual property (IP):
- Create and refine unique industry and role specific talent insights that reflect Summit’s differentiated point of view.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Advisory Services, Operations) to package and position these assets for broader visibility and client engagement.
- Document and share best practices, partnering with consultants to curate and add content as new questions emerge from the business.
Enhance internal consulting capabilities:
- Support Consultant teams by streamlining access to data and insights, enabling more efficient and effective delivery. Support consulting work through providing data driven recommendations.
- Develop tools and reporting processes that improve internal decision-making, reduce manual work, and accelerate time-to-insight across engagements.
Promote industry-relevant benchmarks and dashboards:
- Design and promote custom dashboards and performance benchmarks tailored to the unique needs of our clients.
Lead Data Governance:
- Establish and maintain data quality standards to ensure accuracy and integrity in all analytics outputs.
- Lead data processing and data access/usage process.
Additional responsibilities:
- Maintain a pulse on industry trends and client needs to ensure that Summit’s analytics offerings remain differentiated, relevant, and forward-looking
- Explore and implement new tools, methodologies, and technologies to enhance analytics capabilities.
- Support business development by contributing data-driven insights to client proposals and pitch materials
- Provide coaching and guidance to team members to strengthen internal analytics expertise.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Master’s degree in I/O Psychology or Related Field.
- 4+ years of experience in a talent analytics role
- Proven experience analyzing complex datasets to generate actionable insights.
- Hands-on experience developing dashboards, benchmarks, or models to support organizational performance.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Exposure to organizational health assessments, leader assessments, or related diagnostic tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Experience with data management systems (e.g., Splunk, Oracle)
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Dynamics)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within or alongside a management consulting firm, especially on leadership, culture, or org design projects.
- Demonstrated ability to translate insights for an executive audience.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques (e.g., qualitative and quantitative techniques) and tools (e.g., R, Python, SQL).
- Experience with data visualization applications (e.g., Tableau).
- Experience supporting business development or contributing analytics to client proposals.
- Knowledge of or exposure to management consulting industry's unique talent dynamics and operating models.
- Experience creating proprietary IP or frameworks in the talent or people analytics space.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience in a consulting or services firm environment or a fast-paced, startup environment
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work independently and with a secure internet connection (if remote)
