IRIDEX Corporation is a medical device manufacturer and operates in a global regulated environment (e.g. FDA). Regulations include (but are not limited to) FDA 21 CFR 820, EN ISO 13485, and the European Medical Regulation (MDR). Based on the position, experience in a regulated environment and the extent of working knowledge of appropriate regulations may vary.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To provide administrative support to the international and domestic sales managers and distributors. Includes but is not limited to customer service administration, preparation of financial analysis and reports of sales order data, correspondence and dissemination of information to international sales managers, distributors and customers, inputting pertinent information into the database and maintaining accurate files. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handling and executing domestic and international orders and shipments including completion of pertinent documentation (i.e., commercial invoices, shipper’s letters of instruction, letters of credit, and carnets); tracking shipments and updating records of end-users.
  • Preparing required reports and analyses of sales order data and sales forecasts for management review.
  • Reviewing and preparing correspondence to international distributors and customers.  This includes responding to inquiries, sending quotations and product literature, keeping international distributors updated on new articles and information to aid their sales efforts.
  • Complying to companywide policies and procedures, U.S. Export Administration Regulations and ISO procedures, including inside SOX regulations. 
  • Working with auditors for revenue recognition by providing all details.

 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration with emphasis in international business or equivalent or at least five (5) years experience in sales or administrative functions related to working in an international arena.
  • Initiative to locate answers to inquiries in a relatively unstructured environment. Team player and ability to work independently and shoulder responsibility.
  • Computer experience including Microsoft EXCEL and WORD a must.
  • Knowledge of Business Central (ERP SYSTEM) will be preferrable.
  • Language skills a plus.

Hourly Rate: $31 - $36 (DoE)

Work Location: 100% onsite in Mountain View, CA
