We are growing our team and seeking a driven, experienced Senior Salesperson to spearhead business development and client relationship management across the U.S.
Position Overview:
The Senior Salesperson will lead growth efforts in the commercial and utility solar + battery O&M services sector. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with deep knowledge of the renewable energy market, strong technical acumen, and a proven track record in closing complex deals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and close new opportunities for O&M services across commercial and utility-scale solar and battery projects.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to exceed revenue targets.
Client Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with asset owners, developers, EPCs, utilities, and financiers.
- Understand client objectives and tailor solutions to maximize value.
Market Research & Opportunity Identification
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and regional opportunities.
- Leverage industry insights to shape sales strategy and identify growth areas.
Proposal Development & Negotiation
- Lead creation of technical and commercial proposals.
- Negotiate contract terms, including MSAs, scopes of work, and performance standards.
- Understand availability metrics, safety protocols, and prevailing wage compliance.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline in CRM systems.
- Deliver accurate forecasting and regular performance reports to management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, engineering, and finance teams to ensure client satisfaction.
- Support marketing initiatives and campaign development.
Industry Engagement
- Represent QE Solar at conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Leverage your professional network to generate qualified leads and expand market presence.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience in utility-scale solar, battery storage, or related energy services, ideally in O&M or technical services
- Strong understanding of O&M contract structures, value drivers, and performance metrics
- Proven ability to manage complex, technical sales cycles independently
- Familiarity with CRM tools, sales forecasting, and reporting
- Experience drafting and negotiating contracts and MSAs with technical scopes
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Willing and able to attend industry trade shows and events
- Willing and able to visit project sites
- Comfortable in construction setting
- Ensures personal safety by adhering to all site-specific safety protocols, wearing required PPE, and complying with OSHA regulations and established construction and solar industry safety guidelines while on site
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
Preferred:
- Experience with battery storage O&M sales
- Understanding of regulatory and incentive frameworks in key U.S. markets
- Knowledge of prevailing wage laws and industry rate trends
- Marketing or business development strategy experience
- Experience/familiarity with MV/HV services
- Project commissioning, repowering’s and remediations
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
Workplace Type: On-site
Salary Range: $70,000-$110,000 Per Year
