We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Pricing Strategist with deep expertise in government contracting to join our team. The successful candidate will drive competitive and compliant pricing strategies across federal, state, and local contract opportunities, with a strong focus on GSA Schedule pricing, IT and software solutions, and vendor/subcontractor collaboration. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, mastery of data-driven pricing approaches, and the ability to work cross-functionally with capture, contracts, proposal, and finance teams to ensure submission of accurate, compliant, and winning price proposals.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of pricing strategies for government contracts, focusing on IT and software solutions.
- Manage GSA Schedule pricing analysis, compliance, and updates to align with corporate goals and government requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and external vendors to obtain, evaluate, and validate cost and pricing data.
- Analyze and model competitive scenarios, pricing structures, and cost impacts to support bid and proposal (B&P) activities.
- Leverage Costpoint ERP system for pricing preparation, audits, forecasting, and compliance reporting.
- Develop and maintain detailed cost and pricing models using advanced Excel techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and company policies.
- Provide actionable insights to executive leadership regarding market conditions, price-to-win strategies, and pricing competitiveness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of pricing processes, tools, and templates.
- Support audit readiness and respond to external/internal audit requirements as needed.
- Manage a subset of government contracts, including leading contract negotiations and entering contracts and modifications (Mods) into the Costpoint ERP system.
Qualifications Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant pricing experience, with a proven track record in government contract pricing.
- Expertise in GSA Schedule pricing and compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of pricing within IT and software markets in the government sector.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with subcontractors and vendors to develop accurate and competitive pricing models.
- Hands-on experience with Costpoint ERP system.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, macros, data modeling).
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of FAR/DFARS and other government pricing guidelines.
Preferred (Good to Have):
- Experience building dashboards, reports, or data visualizations in Power BI.
- Ability to write and manage queries for data extraction and analysis.
