About us in this role:  

Paschal Solutions (Paschal) founded in 2000, is a Tennessee-based nuclear engineering company headquartered in Oak Ridge, TN.  Paschal has a strong industry reputation for providing some of the top engineering consultants and tackling some of the most technically challenging projects for our customers.  

Clearance: Requires a Q clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Q-clearance

Location: South Central Region, US

Years of Experience: BS with 5+ years of experience. Education and/or relevant experience may be considered in placement of education and/or experience requirements. 

Roles and responsibilities: 

  • Support the development of comprehensive and precise cost estimates for construction projects, encompassing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services. 
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing and other essential project details.
  • Contribute to the development of thorough bid proposals by reviewing project specifications and blueprints. Ensure timely submission of bids that accurately reflect all project requirements.
  • Evaluate past cost data to ensure estimates align with current market conditions and reflect up-to-date trends in material and labor pricing.
  • Conduct detailed takeoffs from project plans and specifications to accurately assess material and labor requirements.
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure cost estimates are aligned with the overall project scope and objectives.
  • Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities through alternative methods or design solutions without negotiating quality

Minimum Qualifications / Education / Experience: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management or related field. 
  • Knowledge of construction means and methods and processes
  • Must be a US Citizen

Required Knowledge & Skills: 

  • Knowledge of DOE/NNSA programs is preferred
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Understanding of construction codes and regulations
  • Certified Cost Estimator certification is a plus but not required
  • Adept at problem solving and finding/fixing problems early 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Commitment to Paschal values and ability to represent Paschal in a highly effective manner
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and communicate across organizations.
