Position: Staff Accountant

Location: Newtown Square, PA; Onsite

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 DOE

Schedule: Monday – Friday | Full-Time

Position Summary:

A privately owned real estate and investment company is seeking a Staff Accountant (Development) to join their corporate accounting team. This role will focus on supporting real estate operations through detailed financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Perform accounting and bookkeeping functions for property management operations.

·       Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and journal entries, including accruals.

·       Complete journal entries, variance analyses, and ensure compliance-related tasks are executed accurately.

·       Assist with budget preparation and monthly budget-to-actual performance reporting.

·       Maintain and update property management system records for tenants, owners, and vendors.

·       Coordinate with property management to record and bill tenant charges accurately and on schedule.

·       Maintain confidentiality of all financial and company data.

·       Foster strong communication and professionalism across departments.

Qualifications & Skills:

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance — Required

·       2+ years of accounting experience — Required

·       Experience with MRI, Yardi, Entrata, or QuickBooks — Preferred

·       Background in real estate/property management or public accounting — Preferred

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).

·       Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis) — Required.
