About the Role
The Engineer I is an entry level position that will play a key role in Clean Chemistry’s product
engineering, equipment manufacturing, and operational efforts. As part of the engineering &
manufacturing team, the responsibilities for this position fall into three main areas. The primary
responsibility is participating in the design and engineering of new equipment. The secondary
responsibility is assisting in the hands-on fabrication of equipment including basic electrical,
plumbing, and metalworking. Finally, this role will also participate in factory acceptance testing, site
acceptance testing, and the continual trouble-shooting of deployed equipment operating in the field.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. In
this role, the candidate will be required to use and develop their skills in a variety of disciplines
including mechanical engineering, process engineering, and industrial fabrication. Willingness to
learn from and work with the engineer and manufacturing groups is essential. This is a versatile
position ideally suited to someone who likes a challenge and wants to help bring Clean Chemistry’s
technology to the next level.
Responsibilities
● Maintain a safe, clean and efficient work environment for all engineering and manufacturing
personnel
● Participate in the design of Clean Chemistry’s water treatment equipment
● Assist in fabrication and assembly of water treatment equipment
● Perform and document factory acceptance testing of equipment prior to deployment
● Maintain up to date production and testing records
● Participate in team development and implementation of mechanical design changes and
upgrades to equipment
● Make field upgrades to deployed units, train personnel to perform upgrades and
maintenance, as needed
● Write and update build instructions for unit and sub-assemblies as well as factory testing
procedures
● Maintain active bill of materials (BOM) with vendor information, product descriptions and up
to date pricing

Requirements
● Recent engineering degree in a related discipline (mechanical, process, chemical, industrial)
● 1-3 years’ experience. Water treatment experience preferred
● Strong mechanical aptitude
● Excellent written and oral communication skills
● Familiar with process instrumentation including flow meters, various types of pumps, and
water quality sensors
● Basic understanding of piping & instrumentation diagrams
● Basic understanding of PLC and HMI and automated equipment.
● Comfortable working on computers with a variety of programs. GSuite experience preferred.
Strong spreadsheet skills with some familiarity with formulas and equations required
● Able to understand and use engineering equations to specify equipment
● Organized, detail-oriented professional
● Ability to interact professionally with other personnel
● Ability to work independently with little daily supervision
● Ability to travel occasionally to field sites
