Duration: 3-4 months
Hours: 20/week (flexible based on need)
Overview:
Our client is seeking a versatile and creative Visual Communications Designer to support their Organizational Development (OD) initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who can take existing deliverables - especially PowerPoint decks and Word documents - and elevate them into visually compelling, professional-grade materials that support storytelling and engagement for adult learners. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, a knack for simplifying complex ideas visually, and experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transform raw OD deliverables (e.g., PowerPoint decks, frameworks, models) into polished, visually engaging presentations and materials.
- Apply design principles to enhance clarity, flow, and impact of visual content for adult learning audiences.
- Collaborate with OD team members to understand the purpose, audience, and key messages of each deliverable.
- Ensure consistency with brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and enterprise tone.
- Create visual assets such as icons, diagrams, infographics, and templates to support OD deliverables.
- Manage multiple design requests and prioritize based on strategic OD initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience designing for corporate or adult learning audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong portfolio showcasing visual storytelling and presentation design.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with organizational development, leadership development, or enterprise learning environments.
- Experience designing for executive audiences or strategic initiatives.
- Comfort working with OD frameworks, models, and rubrics.
