Solver is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for securing leads by identifying and qualifying sales opportunities using Solver’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and creating deals for the sales team. This position plays a critical role in the sales process by identifying and generating sales qualified leads (opportunities) through both inbound and outbound activities. You will generate and qualify new leads and build the sales pipeline for the organization, with the goal of increasing MQLs and MQL to SQL conversion rates. The BDR produces qualified prospects by following up on inbound leads from multiple marketing campaign channels, conducting outbound, proactive calling to target accounts and industries, nurturing prospects over time, discovering needs, offering relevant resources, and learning where they are in the buying process to help propel the sale forward. You will utilize targeted and insightful questions to speak knowledgeably with decision makers, provide content and product/service information, and work with prospects to explain how Solver’s products and/or services can address their challenges.
Responsibilities
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for maintaining a strong knowledge of the organization's products and/or services, documents outbound/inbound activity, and maintains client accounts in customer relationship management (CRM) systems and other marketing databases. You will work closely with marketing, pre‐sales, and sales teams.Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for the following:
- Create a great first impression to prospective clients and partners
- Respond to and qualify inbound inquiries regarding Solver solutions
- Curate lists of prospects who meet Solver’s ICP for outbound prospecting
- Manage leads@solverglobal.com inbox
- Proactively reach out to potential propsects via phone, email, and social media to generate interest in the company’s products or services
- Become proficient on solution suite, maintain relevant industry knowledge, and conduct thorough needs assessments to qualify prospects based on their requirements and potential fit with our offerings
- Maintain an organized pipeline of leads and systematically follow up to ensure timely progression through the sales funnel using HubSpot sequences
- Drive participation in webinars, events, and other marketing campaigns
- Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase interest in Solver solutions
- Achieve monthly quotas of sales qualified leads (SQLs/Deals Created)
- Actively collaborate as a marketing team member and work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment and effective lead handoff
- Accurately record all sales activities and outreach interactions in HubSpot or Apollo and help maintain a clean CRM database
- Assist with marketing team administrative tasks, as needed (event imports, database maintenance, etc.)
- Assist with partner recruitment and become proficient on benefits of Solver partner program
- Consistently evaluate and suggest improvements for current processes with a focus on efficiency and leveraging AI
- Adhere to marketing budget and project timelines
RREQUIRED Qualifications
Business Development Representative (BDR) requires a professional skill set that is developed over years of industry-specific experience. Their qualities help provide in-depth guidance and strategy to businesses that aspire to achieve more growth. Critical skills include:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
- 0-2 years corporate experience outside of undergraduate graduation (Software sales)
- Previous experience in a SDR training program or in an inside sales or customer service focused role is preferred, but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with potential clients and team members
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with a dynamic range of personalities
- Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work well independently and collaborate effectively with a team
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to proactively address issues, proven critical thinking skills
- Positive attitude
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
Nice-to-have skills/qualifications that can help Business Development Representative (BDR) to succeed beyond expectations may include the following:
- Previous experience in software sales or SaaS environment
