We are hiring remarkable summer camp staff to serve our hospitality and retail needs! Join our summer camp team and make $700 per week.

We are seeking a high-energy Business Manager who will provide direction, supervision, leadership, and support to all back-of-house operations at camp. This individual will oversee all kitchen, trading post, and communication operations. Successful candidates will share their enthusiasm for outdoor camp adventures while guiding girls to experience a fun and exciting week at camp. The ideal candidate should be…- At least 21 years of age.
- Excited to be outdoors and work with youth.
- Prior experience with supervision of staff is a plus.
- In possession of a current ServSafe Food Handler certification, or be willing to obtain one.
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen appliances, operations, and cleaning preferred.
- Ability to assess cleanliness of dishes, food surfaces, and kitchen area.
- Ability to assess the condition of food.
- Visual/auditory ability to respond to environmental and other hazards.
- Ability to respond calmly in a crisis situation.
- Excellent customer service, including the ability to maintain a calm demeanor with adults in conflict.
- Experience operation a point-of-sale (POS) system and maintaining accurate inventory records is preferred.
- Experience with making decisions, acting wisely, and remaining calm in emergencies.
- Certified or able to become Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
- Willing to stay in Mindoro, WI for the entire summer and live onsite with our campers.
- Willing to subscribe to the philosophy of the Girl Scout program and enroll as a Girl Scout member.
- In possession of a valid Drivers' License and hold proof of insurance.
- Available May 27th-August 12th, 2026.
What you will do:- Retail Operations & Management:
- Provide campers and adults with an engaging and enjoyable shopping experience.
- Process retail transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor and workspace.
- Complete all retail-related paperwork with precision, including Daily Deposit Recaps and Bank Deposit Slips
- Accurately distribute Camp Care Kits and additional purchased items to campers.
- Assist the Retail Manager with end-of-season inventory and related tasks.
- Administrative Operations & Customer Service:
- Communicate with campers’ caregivers by posting photos and weather updates on Rallyhood.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer and staff inquiries via email and phone, using council tools such as Salesforce, Asana, and email.
- Create and complete necessary reports and tracking sheets.
- Keep track of feedback, comments, and concerns throughout the summer to complete an evaluation of the program at the end of the season.
- Prepare, review, and submit records or requested reports in a timely fashion.
- Kitchen Operations & Management:
- Supervise, schedule, and evaluate assigned kitchen staff, working with the leadership team to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Prepare and place the approved food/supply order with pre-selected vendor(s).
- Interpret and maintain Food Safety, ACA, and GSUSA standards for health and safety in the kitchen.
- Be responsible for proper use and care of kitchen equipment, informing appropriate staff of any problems and/or repairs needed.
- Oversee the inventorying process, making certain that the proper process is followed so that all items purchased are necessary and will be used.
- Camp Operations & Experience:
- Oversee the Health Office, including inventory.
- Implement and monitor that all health, safety, and program standards are being met.
- Assist in supervision of campers to cover for breaks of other camp staff.
- Supervise and assist with camp cleaning, sanitation, and equipment maintenance.
- Interpret the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and guide staff in putting it into practice.
- Comprehend, monitor, and be willing to initiate crisis management plans, overall safety measures, and emergency procedures as necessary.
- Help each Girl Scout learn to respect the rights of others and appreciate themselves and others.
- Assist in the opening and closing procedures of camp, including staff training.
- Comprehend and implement emergency procedures through regular practice drills.
- Maintain the health and safety of campers.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for both campers and other staff.
Physical & Other Requirements:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to withstand:- Living and sleeping in a rustic outdoor environment.
- Working irregular hours: early mornings, nights, and weekends.
- Lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds.
- Walking, hiking, and working outdoors in wooded areas and on uneven natural paths.
