REL Mortgage Assumption Specialist I

Hybrid Role: Vienna, VA, Winchester, VA, or Pensacola, FL

Experience Level Desired: 1-5 years

Our client is seeking a Mortgage Assumption Specialist to examine, evaluate, and process tasks associated with assumption/release of liability requests per applicable federal/state laws, investor guidelines, and established policies and procedures. The specialist will serve as the point person and coordinate processing from origination through disposition.

This role ensures timely review and submission of assumption/release of liability requests to relevant Real Estate Lending (REL) areas to minimize mortgage portfolio risk. The specialist will provide members with detailed information about assumption/release of liability requests and related servicing questions about their mortgage/equity loan.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage process flow to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met
  • Maintain quality standards while working under moderate supervision
  • Perform basic/routine tasks with a narrow scope and moderate analysis
