Are you a problem-solver and a connector with a passion for workforce innovation? The Center for Economic Growth (CEG) is seeking a professional to develop and drive talent initiatives to meet the region’s evolving workforce needs. The Director of Workforce Innovation will lead regional strategies to develop, attract, and retain talent aligned with employer needs and emerging industry sectors. This position works collaboratively with partners to strengthen the region’s workforce to meet today’s demands and seize tomorrow’s opportunities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Innovation
• Develop and execute strategies that strengthen the region’s talent pipeline and support economic growth in key industries.
• Monitor workforce policy trends at regional, state, and national levels to inform strategy.
• Identify and share best practices to enhance training, recruitment, and retention.
• Build trusted relationships with employers, higher education institutions, training providers, and community partners to align workforce initiatives and leverage resources with industry needs.
• Convene and facilitate cross-sector collaborations to inform and advance new initiatives.
• Represent CEG and Chamber in workforce-related meetings and events.
Program Oversight & Management
• Lead and manage major workforce initiatives, including regional apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs.
• Analyze program data to track progress and inform decisions to drive improvements.
• Leverage workforce grants and pursue funding opportunities to support program sustainability and growth.
• Participate in the implementation of the region’s ON-RAMP manufacturing training center.
• Serve as regional workforce intermediary supporting semiconductor workforce initiatives under the CHIPS and Science Act.
• Supervise departmental staff, provide support and mentorship, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Track program results, adjusting approach as needed to maximize impact.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in workforce development, human resources, industry engagement, community development, or another relevant field.
• Demonstrated success in workforce program design, delivery, and evaluation.
• Proven track record of cross-sector collaboration and partnership development.
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing projects, including securing funding and reporting outcomes.
• Data and analytics skills to assess program impact and guide decisions.
• Passion for inclusive economic growth, workforce development, and ecosystem building.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and familiarity with data management systems.
• Experience managing a small team.

Compensation - Salary range is $80,000 to $95,000. Benefits package includes PTO, generous 401(k), and health/life/LTD insurance.
