    Position Summary

    The CT/MRI Technologist performs optimal CT/MRI procedures and provides high-quality care for patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric. This position works as part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of radiologists, radiology residents, technologists, and nurses.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate and maintain imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
    • Monitor patient condition before and after scans to ensure safety and comfort.
    • Apply appropriate techniques and shielding to adhere to ALARA principles; program machine settings per physician instructions.
    • Address patient concerns and explain procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
    • Notify healthcare providers when immediate clinical response is necessary.
    • Troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime and conduct daily QA checks.
    • Participate in teaching and in-service education programs as required.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

    Education:
    • Registered Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
    Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years as a CT and/or MRI technologist
    Licensure/Certifications:
    • ARRT certification in CT and MRI
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)

    Core Competencies

    • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and MRI terminology
    • Ability to apply ALARA principles and troubleshoot equipment
    • Strong communication and patient care skills
    • Ability to work in high-stress environments calmly and professionally
    • Physical capability to lift moderate to heavy loads and stand for extended periods

    Working Conditions

    • Physical activity includes sitting (20%), walking (35%), standing (45%), bending (10%)
    • Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing equipment
    • Schedule includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
