Join our client's global team as a Network Administrator supporting our critical Network Operations End-of-Life Cisco switch replacement initiative across 200+ branches worldwide. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to showcase your technical expertise while driving a strategic infrastructure upgrade that enhances our organization's network capabilities.
Working Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM-12:00 AM EST at our Headquarters in Vienna, Virginia. Occasional Saturday migrations and extended hours may be required for global deployments.
Training: Comprehensive 2-week onboarding training provided Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM EST.
What You'll Do:
- Lead Cisco switch configurations, upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting for global branch migrations
- Coordinate multiple site migrations daily, managing internal teams, external vendors, and branch personnel
- Leverage monitoring applications to ensure optimal network performance before and after migrations
- Create and manage end-to-end change tickets while maintaining thorough project documentation
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and provide expert guidance to remote support personnel
- Interface with vendors and service providers to resolve technical challenges and ensure successful implementations
- Maintain, configure, and perform preventative maintenance on various network equipment
- Manage network circuits at remote sites including turnup, turndown, and troubleshooting
What You'll Bring:
- Proven experience with Cisco networking equipment, including router and switch configuration and VLAN management
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies, protocols, and standards (EIGRP, Metro Ethernet, TCP/IP, SDLC, RS232, BGP)
- Demonstrated success performing similar migrations across geographically dispersed sites
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple project tasks and migrations per shift
- Experience with branch office networking circuits, VLAN setup, WAP configuration, and vendor ticket management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Proficiency with Service Management Tools for incident tracking and change management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure with changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of training and experience
- CCNA or CCNP certifications
- Experience presenting technical solutions and recommendations to stakeholders
- Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities for complex network environments
- Deep understanding of technical inter-relationships between software/hardware and desktop/LAN/Host systems
