Scrum Master / Project Manager

Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Scrum Master/Project Manager with a proven track record in both roles to join their dynamic team. This position requires someone who can effectively lead agile teams while managing project deliverables with precision and excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• 7-10 years combined IT Project Management experience as both a Project Manager AND Scrum Master
• Proven experience delivering successful projects through agile methodologies
• Strong focus on delivery excellence and continuous improvement
• Proficiency with SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, ServiceNow, and Azure DevOps

Desired Certifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• Certified SAFe 5 Scrum Master (SSM)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Liaise with Business, Scrum teams and Technical Stakeholders
• Communicate effectively with various levels of management
• Serve as PM/Scrum Master on a dedicated team
• Manage project activities through all life cycles utilizing ServiceNow, ADO, SharePoint, and proprietary software
• Report on project activities and metrics
• Provide input to Annual Financial Plan

Project Leadership:

• Manage the full life cycle of projects following SDLC
• Apply project management expertise and best practices/tools to define and execute:
  • Scope Management
  • Schedule Management
  • Issue/Risk Management
  • PI Planning
  • Communications Management
  • Change Management
  • Quality Management
  • Vendor Management
  • Contract Management
• Utilize tools to manage ongoing team efforts, updating release schedules, staffing profiles, roadmaps, application documentation, and monthly reports
• Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery through organized planning and routine forecasting
• Lead change initiatives by building strong partnerships and communication plans with stakeholders
• Adhere to established PM processes and actively participate in structured project reviews

Team Leadership:

• Lead as a PM/Scrum Master on a dedicated team supporting all Scrum ceremonies
• Lead and engage small to medium size scrum teams simultaneously
• Ensure clear alignment of roles and responsibilities for all team members
• Take initiative to improve processes, team organization, and reporting
• Monitor and measure resource assignment results against project goals

Communication:

• Proactively provide consistent, concise, relevant, reliable and timely information to all appropriate stakeholders
• Ensure accuracy of information to enable effective business decisions
• Demonstrate proven ability to lead scrum ceremonies with tangible experience executing PI Planning and helping teams achieve agreed upon outcomes
