Electrical Systems Technician

Full Time Onsite at Headquarters (Location: 820 Follin Lane, Vienna, VA 22180)

Description:

Join our client's team to install, maintain, and repair emergency power systems, electrical systems, UPS systems, and electrical equipment. You'll work alongside experienced team leads on projects, preventative maintenance activities, and emergency responses in a professional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist team leads in the installation and maintenance of emergency power systems, electrical systems, UPS systems and various electrical equipment, fixtures, tools and appliances. Work with single and three phase systems including 120, 208, 277, 480, and 12470 volt gear, signal circuits, control circuits, and low voltage systems
  • Support team leaders in diagnosing problems, malfunctions, or design alterations to emergency power systems, electrical systems or electrical equipment
  • Follow work schedules and interpret directions, blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and manufacturer manuals to complete assigned projects safely and efficiently
  • Serve as an escort for contractors or vendors performing services when needed
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
  • Help ensure optimal functioning of electrical and mechanical systems across the campus, including all Data Center equipment and UPS systems
  • Demonstrate discretion and good safety practices
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year practical experience in maintenance and repair of commercial electrical systems
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to read and interpret work schedules and directions
  • Strong teamwork capabilities
  • Willingness to attend and complete technical training for critical equipment such as UPS systems and Data center equipment
  • Basic understanding of software including Word and Excel
  • Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Commercial electrical maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
