POSITION DESCRIPTION
You will be exercising responsibility for accomplishing complex systems assignments on schedule and on budget. Working with a multi-disciplinary engineering organization involving electro-mechanical systems, you’ll be able to perform conceptual process control systems design, determination of process control system strategy, design of assembled programming, preparation of bills of material, and cost estimates. You’ll lead optimization efforts to reduce downtime and improve efficiency, while also training operators and maintenance personnel. You’ll track and trend plant system performance, deliver critical reports to leadership, and bring cross-functional teams together when challenges arise. You’ll also support integrated system testing and partner with field technicians to resolve complex technical issues—always with an eye toward safety, compliance, and reliability. Expect to travel approximately 10%-15% of the time.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science from an accredited university.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
- 10+ years of experience in working with industrial instrumentation, process control, or related experience.
- Hands-on expertise with:
- PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
- Process instrumentation and automation applications
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards and practices for process control equipment
- Experience with major control systems such as Rockwell Automation products hardware and software product suites (ControlLogix, Logix 5000, FT View, FT Historian and FT VantagePoint.).
- Control System Architecture Design (Client Server); including Virtual Client Server design experience preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and P&ID.
- An active “Q” level security clearance
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
