The Senior GL Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, supporting close processes, and maintaining compliance with GAAP across multiple entities. This role provides cross-functional support and is responsible for maintaining a solid foundation of reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis that underpins executive decision-making. This role reports to the Director of Accounting and is a part of the accounting team in our Finance Department.

This is a full-time role operating during standard business hours Monday - Friday (from your home office remotely) with monthly or as-needed travel required.  This is not a flex or part-time schedule opportunity. The candidate must reside in the U.S. - Eastern or Central time zone.  Annual salary starting $90,000 and commensurate with experience (see requirements below).  We offer robust benefits package including 15 days of vacation, 7 paid holidays, and 5 sick days annually. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses.
• Maintain ownership of key general ledger accounts and ensure appropriate supporting documentation and controls.
• Prepare and support financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations across multiple entities.
• Support internal and external audits, including PBC requests and technical accounting inquiries.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen controls and increase close efficiency.
• Assist with system enhancements, integrations, and accounting process automation.
• Support ad hoc analyses, special projects, and initiatives related to growth, acquisitions, or integrations

Education and Skill Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive GL accounting experience with demonstrated ownership of the general ledger and month-end close.
• Strong experience in financial statement preparation and audit support.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and experience improving close and reporting processes.
• Hands-on experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany eliminations.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, data validation, and analytical tools.
• Experience in a private equity–backed, high-growth, or complex operating environment strongly preferred.
• NetSuite experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Remote work environment, requiring reliable internet and telephone service.
• This is a remote, work from home position, requiring full-time work schedule commitment and is not a flex or part-time job.
• Handling sensitive, confidential, and financial information. Work must be performed in a secure and private setting.
• Communicating via virtual online meetings daily with reliable internet connectivity with camera on as well as being responsive in a timely manner during business work hours via email, MS Teams and phone are required.
• Working additional hours to meet deadlines is required.
• Ability for occasional travel for training and meetings.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
