About This Role

We are seeking a talented Instructional Designer to plan and manage learning and development projects that drive organizational success. In this role, you will design and develop engaging instructional courses tailored to meet the learning outcomes and performance needs of our client and its employees. You'll collaborate across departments to implement training strategies that elevate employee performance and contribute to business objectives. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge instructional technologies while maintaining autonomy and minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and design courses and curricula in collaboration with stakeholders; ensure content accuracy and test multimedia elements
  • Conduct needs assessments for business units to provide customized training solutions and performance improvement guidance
  • Create and manage learning management system (LMS) activities, training assignments, and custom reports
  • Develop dynamic instructional materials using current technologies, including references and support tools that enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Design and develop classroom, online, and independent learning programs that effectively transfer knowledge and drive behavior change
  • Develop and test course content, training games, graphic designs, and technology-driven learning products
  • Evaluate course effectiveness and learning outcomes to ensure desired objectives are achieved
  • Select and implement the most effective instructional approaches, including blended learning models combining instructor-led and self-directed techniques
  • Establish appropriate design and development models for projects; analyze learning needs and establish clear learning objectives
  • Train internal team members on effective use of classroom materials, including instructor-led training (ILT) and virtual instructor-led training (VILT)
  • Integrate feedback, assessments, and course evaluations into training content and delivery methods
  • Advise trainers on course evaluation results and training effectiveness
  • Present to various groups, including executive leadership
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Communication, Behavioral Sciences, Training Development, or related field (or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience)
  • Advanced knowledge of instructional theories, educational psychology, and educational theory
  • Working knowledge of instructional design principles to develop courses for products, processes, and skills
  • Demonstrated experience researching and writing course content or developing courses, demonstrations, graphic designs, and technology-driven products
  • Experience evaluating the effectiveness of courses, learning products, and delivery methods
  • Advanced skill in influencing, leading, and guiding others toward goals
  • Effective communication skills at all organizational levels, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities
  • Proficiency with database and presentation software
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Ability to adapt to fluctuating workflow and priorities
  • Ability to compile, organize, and present information clearly and concisely
  • Skill in capturing and translating processes and requirements into easily understood terms
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various internal and external technical and functional contacts
  • Ability to interact tactfully and effectively in challenging situations
  • Skill in assessing organizational training needs and researching topics for course development
  • Ability to build strategic and execution-focused plans with partner leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multimedia training development
  • Working knowledge of our client's products, services, programs, policies, and procedures
