REL Communications Strategist
Location: Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL (Hybrid - 3 days per week)
Experience Level: Level 2 (5-10 years)
Contract Duration: 6 months from start date; not to surpass 12/31/2026
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced REL Communications Strategist to develop and execute internal communications strategies that elevate executive messaging and drive organizational alignment. This role requires a strategic communicator who can translate complex information into compelling narratives while supporting high-profile initiatives and events.
Critical Requirements & Responsibilities
- Develop compelling talking points, speeches, and high-profile internal communications for executive audiences
- Support and elevate executive-level events and initiatives through strategic, well-timed communications
- Apply strategic thinking to new ideas and proactively bring forward planning recommendations
- Collaborate closely with communications partners, cross-departmental teams, and enterprise stakeholders to ensure alignment, consistency, and impact
- Translate complex information into clear, engaging, and accessible messages
- Develop and deliver storytelling that informs, inspires, and reinforces leadership intent while aligning to organizational strategy and voice
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of proven internal communications experience
- Demonstrated experience writing for executive audiences
- Strong strategic thinking and planning capabilities
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with enterprise stakeholders
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong storytelling and narrative development abilities
