Our Guidewires & Abrasives division in Ramsey, NJ develops advanced precision machinery used to produce components for industries including medical device, aerospace, automotive, and other high-performance manufacturing sectors.

We’re looking for an Electrical & Controls Engineer II who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and bringing automated systems to life.

This role combines electrical engineering and controls engineering, giving you the opportunity to design electrical systems, develop PLC logic, and support advanced automation equipment from concept through commissioning.

What You’ll Do

Controls Engineering

• Develop and modify PLC control logic for automated manufacturing equipment
• Design and configure HMI interfaces for machine operation and diagnostics
• Integrate and tune servo motion control systems
• Support machine commissioning, debugging, and system optimization

Electrical Engineering

• Design electrical systems, including schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams
• Select automation components including PLCs, drives, motors, sensors, and safety systems
• Maintain electrical documentation including schematics, BOMs, and I/O lists
• Ensure designs meet applicable electrical and machine safety standards

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field
• 3–6 years of experience in electrical, controls, or automation engineering
• Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems
• Experience designing electrical systems for automated equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
