Salary: $60,000
Position Summary: The Financial Specialist will help maintain budget and allocation updates within the accounting software as well as analyze current financial data for accuracy and make necessary corrections. This hybrid position is based in either Rockledge or Maitland Florida.
Technical/Functional Expectations:
1. Updates allocations and employee expense job cost coding in financial accounting software – Essential Function.
2. Reviews departmental reports and evaluates for any adjustments/corrections - Essential Function – Essential Function.
3. Reviews and tracks monthly Invoice reporting for providers who submit through Contracts Department – Essential Function.
4. Acts as a liaison between contracts department and finance department – Essential Function.
5. Aids in completing DCF Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Reporting - Essential Function.
6. Aids in the preparation of the Provider Financial Monitoring Reports – Essential Function.
7. Aids in the preparation of Provider Pre and Post Award Notices – Essential Function.
8. Other duties as required: Job performance requires fulfilling other incidental or related duties as assigned, assisting, and training others, and performing duties of higher rated positions from time to time for developmental purposes.

Required Skills/Abilities:

3. Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
4. Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.
5. Thorough understanding of project management.
6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
1. Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field or two years of professional experience as an accountant, auditor or analyst.
Physical Requirements:
1. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
2. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
