About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Case Manager to provide comprehensive case management services supporting nurses while promoting public safety and well-being. This role involves coordinating care, managing compliance, and collaborating with healthcare professionals, regulatory bodies, and treatment providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing case management services to support nurses and ensure public safety
  • Gather and analyze information from nurses, employers, attorneys, treatment providers, and regulatory agencies
  • Coordinate communication among nurses, employers, Department of Health/Board of Nursing representatives, and treatment providers
  • Facilitate referrals, evaluations, and treatment coordination
  • Monitor licensure status and assess available support resources
  • Collaborate with treatment providers to evaluate safe practice and implement work limitations
  • Present complex cases for interdisciplinary clinical review and recommendations
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation
  • Support clinical team initiatives that promote nurse well-being
  • Assist leadership with special projects and workflow improvements

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in nursing preferred
  • Licensure in a relevant field (e.g., social work, mental health, nursing)
  • Certification in addiction or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with substance use disorders and/or mental health

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail, organization, and accountability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, and case management systems
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

Work Environment

  • Remote work environment with a designated workspace
  • Minimum 100 Mbps high-speed internet required
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required
  • Ability to travel as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Extended periods of sitting or standing at a computer
  • Frequent typing and document handling
  • Ability to lift or move standard office equipment occasionally
