OutSystems Senior Engineer – Consumer Lending Platform
We are seeking a senior OutSystems engineer to design and deliver high-performance applications supporting real-time consumer credit decisioning within a modern lending platform.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, credit risk, and platform modernization. What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical credit adjudication applications used in real-time lending decisions
- Contribute to and help drive the target-state architecture for modernizing core lending platform services
- Build clean, scalable, and maintainable OutSystems applications, aligned to enterprise standards
- Optimize systems for performance, reliability, and security in a high-volume production environment
- Develop automated tests and ensure high-quality, production-ready code every sprint
- Partner with DevOps to support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and production stability
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, UX, Risk, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into working software
- Provide technical leadership and principled pushback to drive sound architectural and design decisions
- Continuously evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies and best practices
What You Bring
- 7+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent practical experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on OutSystems development experience in enterprise environments
- Experience building applications in consumer lending, credit origination, or decisioning platforms
- Strong understanding of real-time decision systems, including throughput, latency, and reliability considerations
- Experience developing solutions that accelerate credit decisions while supporting exception handling and human-in-the-loop workflows
- 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Proven track record delivering complex, high-scale applications in production environments
- Strong grasp of software design principles, patterns, and modern development practices
