The Data Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring seamless communication and data management between the company and a major retailer, as well as other vendors and customers. This position involves gathering updates from vendors, making necessary calls, uploading data to multiple platforms, and generating weekly reports. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, a proactive attitude, capable of handling multiple priorities, and ensuring adherence to project timelines. 

Primary Responsibilities 

1. Vendor & Customer Communication 

  • Initiate and maintain regular communication with vendors and customers to gather updates on orders, deliveries, and related information 
  • Provide excellent customer service to vendor and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner 

2. Data Management 

  • Input, update, and maintain accurate data across multiple systems and databases 

  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across multiple platforms. 

  • Audit data regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies 

3. Reporting & Documentation 

  • Compile and prepare weekly reports, summarizing data updates and key metrics 

  • Maintain accurate records of all communication and transactions with vendors and customers 

4. Data Upload & Integration 

  • Upload data to various platforms and systems as required 

  • Collaborate with IT or relevant teams to ensure data integration and synchronization 

5. Process Improvement 

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements in vendor communication and data management 

  • Make recommendations for streamlining processes 

6. Compliance & Quality Assurance 

  • Ensure that all data and communication adhere to company policies and industry regulations 

  • Implement quality assurance measures to minimize errors and discrepancies 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  

  • Proven experience in data management, vendor management, or a similar role 

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high data quality standards 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external vendors. 

  • Proficient in the use of databases, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously 

  • Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor compliance requirements is an advantage 

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations to improve data management practices 

 Qualifications 

  • High school diploma requiredbachelor's degree preferred 

  • Experience with vendor/customer communication and data coordination in related role 

  • Intermediate Excel and Power BI skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Power Apps  

  • Experience with databases, ERP systems, or data management tools 

  • Familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus  

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills  

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively 

  • Experience building dashboard and AI tools to improve workflows 

Additional Comments 

  • Position will be based in Bentonville, Arkansas 

  • Standard business hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM 

  • Role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities 

  • This role involves access to sensitive information and requires strict confidentiality and compliance with all company policies related to data security; contractors shall abide by the major retailer’s Information Security Addendum.
