Become a Key Player as a Systems Engineer
You will lead systems engineering efforts to research, define, and deliver complex systems that influence product and program decisions. You will work with cross-functional engineering teams, management, and customers to translate requirements into validated system designs. Onsite in Irvine, CA.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Provide expert technical advice and lead internal and customer design reviews for complex system designs
- Research and develop new technologies with an R&D and product development focus
- Perform requirements development and management: elicit, analyze, validate, decompose, and trace requirements
- Conduct system analysis, trade studies, and functional/performance tests; document findings and recommendations
- Prepare technical proposals and presentations to influence stakeholders and support business decisions
- Investigate and operationalize new technologies to improve cost and performance
- Mentor other engineers and act as a consultant to management on technical and project-related matters
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a science/technical discipline (or Professional Engineer certificate)
- Minimum of 7 years of related systems engineering experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Demonstrated knowledge of product/domain engineering theories, practices, and relevant regulations (including ISO-9000/9001 and AS9100)
- Experience with MBSE principles and practical application on formal development programs
- Practical experience with model-based tools (e.g., Cameo) and specialized data analysis/engineering design tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex topics to senior management and customers
