Become a Key Player as a Production Assembler I
You will perform routine mechanical and electromechanical assembly that ensures reliable, high-quality components for the organization's products. You will work closely with the production team and supervisors on a 1st Shift 4/10 schedule (M–Th | 5:00am–3:30pm) at the onsite facility in Simi Valley, CA. Your work ensures meeting sequence, safety, and production throughput while supporting process consistency.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Perform routine mechanical and electromechanical assembly of small parts and components following written instructions and procedures
- Review shop traveler/route cards or simple schematic drawings to confirm correct sequence of operation
- Position very small parts under a binocular microscope using tweezers or fixtures
- Adjust, bend, align, and solder fine wires to resistors and base parts
- Bond or seal parts/assemblies with epoxies using heating elements or ovens and perform in-process testing
- Follow all safety policies and procedures and maintain regular, consistent attendance
- Support additional assigned tasks, including possible nights, weekends, or variable schedules as needed
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in assembly or related work
- Effective communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to identify issues and address them using existing procedures
- Ability and willingness to learn new tasks and processes
- Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent related experience
- Good mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to operate hand tools and light machinery
- Basic math skills and ability to read/interpret safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies, and procedures
