HR Generalist
Position Summary
EIT is seeking a motivated and people-focused Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations at our Leesburg manufacturing facility. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers while supporting multiple areas of Human Resources, including employee relations, onboarding, recruitment, payroll support, compliance, performance management, employee engagement, and HR administration.
The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays an important role in supporting employee experience, maintaining compliance, and helping foster a positive workplace culture. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee questions
- Support recruitment efforts including job postings, phone screenings, interview coordination, and onboarding activities
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a smooth transition
- Manage offboarding processes and related documentation with professionalism and attention to detail
- Assist with employee relations matters and escalate concerns as appropriate
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR documentation is compliant and organized
- Support payroll and timekeeping processes, including reviewing timecards and processing payroll-related changes
- Administer employee leave requests, including FMLA and other applicable leave types
- Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives
- Coordinate employee engagement activities, wellness initiatives, and company events that strengthen workplace culture
- Assist with HR compliance requirements, training assignments, and policy communication
- Prepare HR reports, correspondence, and employee communications as needed
- Partner with managers to support staffing needs, employee development, and workplace concerns
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information
- Support additional HR projects and administrative tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Human Resources experience
- Competence in various Human Resources functional areas including recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, and organizational development
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to Human Resources
- Ability to handle highly confidential information in a professional manner with elevated judgment and discretion
- Self-starter with a "let's get things done" attitude and high sense of urgency
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while prioritizing and organizing workload to meet deadlines
- Strong ability to multi-task and thrive in an environment subject to changing priorities and demands
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Proficiency in HRIS systems
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or working toward professional HR certification
Working Conditions
Schedule: 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off
Environment: Normal office environment in a manufacturing facility
