Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanic

Location: Navasota, Texas Area
Pay: Competitive pay based on experience

We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanic to join our team in the Navasota, Texas area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining military and commercial equipment including Humvees, trailers, skid steers, and other diesel-powered machinery.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on:
  • Humvees
  • Military and commercial trailers
  • Skid steers
  • Heavy equipment and diesel vehicles
• Conduct inspections and troubleshoot equipment failures
• Replace and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and hydraulic systems
• Maintain service records and repair documentation
• Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete repairs in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic preferred
• Experience working on military vehicles is a plus
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Must have reliable transportation and basic mechanic tools
• Ability to lift heavy parts and work in outdoor/shop environments
