Become a Key Player as a Test Technician
You will execute mechanical and electromechanical testing to ensure product functionality and on-time delivery for the organization. You will work closely with production and engineering teams to diagnose failures and provide clear root-cause analysis. This is an onsite role on first shift (M–F, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM) in Simi Valley, CA.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Perform routine mechanical and electromechanical testing of small parts and components per instructions and procedures
- Review shop traveler/route cards and schematic drawings to confirm sequence of operation
- Set up and operate test equipment (oscilloscopes, DVMs, signal generators, spectrum/network analyzers, frequency counters, power meters, etc.)
- Troubleshoot circuits and components to the micro component level and perform failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry
- Provide detailed written failure descriptions and root cause analysis to production and engineering
- Receive parts/units and verify circuitry using schematics and prints
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; may work variable schedules including nights and weekends as needed
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- 1+ years of relevant experience (job specifies 1–2 years or more)
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training/apprenticeship or equivalent experience in a related field
- Strong electrical background with understanding of microelectronics
- Proven troubleshooting, debugging, and testing skills for circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies
- Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings and prints
- Good oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
