We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to serve as our organization’s trusted Human Resources partner. ROLE INFORMATION
As an HR Generalist, you will serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders across the organization. You will balance day-to-day HR operations with employee relations, coaching, compliance, recruitment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities can include, but are not limited to:
HR Administration
· Manage and maintain HR systems and employee records, ensuring data integrity
· Oversee HR compliance and documentation processes
· Facilitate the administration of annual HR cycles such as performance management, open enrollment and employee training
· Complete bi-weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees. Reconcile reports and collaborate with Finance for seamless general ledger integration.
· Interpret, implement, and enforce Arboretum policies and procedures
Recruitment & Onboarding
· Manage the recruitment lifecycle for open positions by helping attract talented, mission-driven candidates
· Coordinate new hire onboarding and facilitate orientation
· Prepare onboarding materials and ensure completion of required documentation
Employee Experience
· Lead employee engagement and culture initiatives by planning and executing programs, events, and communications that strengthen connection
· Provide HR guidance to staff and managers, setting high expectations of behavior and performance
· Assist with HR communications, employee requests, and internal HR inquiries
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training
· Two (2) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience.
· Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) with a people-first approach to every interaction
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
· High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information
· Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution
· Ability to assume responsibility and exercise good judgment when making decisions within the scope of the position
· Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
· Valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability.
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, credit check, and background check.

This full-time, exempt position offers a starting salary of $50,000 - $60,000 based on qualifications and experience.
