Become a Key Player as a Material Handler I / Warehouse
You will support product support and warehouse operations to keep parts moving accurately and on schedule. Your work impacts production teams, shipping/receiving, and inventory control; you will work onsite on a standard daytime schedule (Mon–Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm).
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Identify parts using pick lists, WIP, blueprints, and customer requirements
- Prepare, package, and label parts/materials for safe shipment and storage
- Select parts from stock to fill orders and place stock in proper locations
- Use computer systems to maintain and access inventory and shipping records
- Move parts between functions using forklifts or other material-handling equipment
- Stage tooling, audit storage areas, and support inventory counts for accuracy
- Participate in lean/continuous improvement activities and apply lean tools
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of product support, warehouse, or related experience, or demonstrated ability to perform the role
- Ability to implement and apply lean/continuous improvement initiatives
- Proficiency with job-specific software applications and basic computer use
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to follow written instructions and procedures
- Ability to frequently move materials weighing up to 50 lbs and work around plant noise, dust, and equipment
- May be required to operate moving equipment and meet OSHA safety qualifications
- Participation in and completion of the Powerlift Operator Training Program (forklift) is required
Here's What Else Might Help You Out
- Experience with advanced CICS functions (issue/release requisitions, edit/fill shortage requisitions)
- Prior experience assisting in sub-assembly areas
Pay Range
$16.00 - $20.00/hour
