Become a Key Player as a Plant Quality Manager

You will lead the plant-level quality function to drive product and process excellence, implementing AS9100D and continuous improvement methods. You will impact product conformity, customer satisfaction, and supplier performance while managing a team of quality engineers and inspectors. Onsite (1st Shift, Monday–Friday).

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team

  • Communicate and execute customer, regulatory, and organizational requirements to assure product quality and contract compliance.
  • Manage and develop a team of quality engineers and inspectors to foster quality compliance and continual improvement.
  • Maintain and implement the quality management system to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and corporate/division policies.
  • Ensure personnel performing quality-affecting functions are trained and demonstrate appropriate skills and performance.
  • Coordinate plant personnel for internal, customer, and third-party quality system audits.
  • Maintain a corrective action system to analyze and correct nonconforming conditions and complaints.
  • Implement performance measurements to evaluate product quality, customer satisfaction, and cost of poor quality; target improvement efforts based on results.
  • Assess supplier capabilities and monitor supplier quality to ensure desired performance levels.

Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of Quality, Engineering, or related experience.
  • Minimum 3 years managing a team.
  • Knowledge of AS9100D and manufacturing quality practices.
  • Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma methods, Statistical Process Control, MSA/Gage R&R, Process Capability, FMEA).
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to represent the organization technically and professionally.

Here's What Else Might Help You Out

  • Lead auditor experience for AS9100D.
  • Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr).
  • Aerospace, medical, or manufacturing engineering background.
  • Experience assessing and monitoring supplier quality.

Pay Range

$88K - $140K/year
