Become a Key Player as a Metal Worker
You will assemble, inspect, and test mechanical components to meet customer quality and on-time delivery goals, supporting production and continuous improvement efforts. You will work onsite on a 2nd shift schedule (3:30 PM–12:00 AM, Monday–Friday) after a required training period on 1st shift; you will report to production supervisors and collaborate with the manufacturing team.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Perform moderately complex assembly and test functions using hand and power tools, fixtures, and inspection equipment
- Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, and test specifications to produce conforming assemblies
- Buff, haze, chemically clean, and prepare components for processing and shipping
- Count, size, and prepare tubes for chemical cleaning; sleeve, box, and complete required paperwork
- Apply epoxy tape, install inserts and rivets, and perform final detailing and subassembly tasks
- Identify non-conformances from test data and rework items as instructed
- Participate in lean/continuous improvement initiatives and suggest areas for productivity gains
- Assist in training less experienced team members and maintain calibration and safety standards
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of industry-related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications
- Strong mechanical reasoning and manual dexterity; good hand/eye coordination
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use basic measurement tools (calipers, protractors, height gauges) and standard business software
- Willingness to train on 1st shift for at least two months before transitioning to 2nd shift

- Experience operating CNC machines, press brakes, shears, or punch presses
- Welding certifications or other technical certifications
Pay Range
$15.40 - $19.25/hour
